Probably not because we underestimate how much people love to whine, bitch, and troll on the internet anymore. ANY subject (and I do mean ANY subject) is fair game for bitch fests to start on anything at all. Until we find a way to kill THAT culture, things like judging a game that hasn't even been released yet will never happen.
Didn't play the second game yet. Want to, but haven't gotten to it yet, so the third one doesn't intrigue me yet. However, once I play the second one, I can give a better judgment of such an announcement.
At the same time, we shouldn't be ANTI social, either. We shouldn't be scared to play with someone else, or engage in an MP experience. It's a difficult balance because you have people who are only interested in the SP, people who are looking for the MP part of the game, then those that want both and will actively play both. The "I want both" crowd is probably what EA is aiming for. Sadly, there are people too closed minded to want to try the other thing and will complai...
People are forgetting one other issue about the Vita that this may affect.
Something along the lines of...say...AT&T (something many frowned upon).
What about people use this jailbreak to use another 4G provider for their internet access? Not sure if this would be at all possible with the Vita, but I would love to see if someone could attempt to get the Vita working with Verizon or Sprint or something else (like what the main reason why people jailbroke t...
Care to explain how Homebrew leads to piracy? I heard the arguments of how jailbreaking leads to piracy, but this is the first time I've heard of the Homebrew = piracy thing.
Again, care to explain how Homebrew leads to piracy?
And you're talking to people on N4G! That's part of the problem.
Good luck trying to get any intelligent conversation here. It's all about jumping on bandwagons and being "fan dumb" here.
There are different reasons, though.
Sony has a LOT of first party studios right now, and, as stated before, they didn't create enough games to warrant keeping it open. The games they made might get made by another first party studio.
MS, on the other hand, seemed to keep closing them and closing them only to see them gobble up exclusive third party DLC and things like that, making it seem as though MS was just trying to save money for "me too" ...
You forgot one: people who bitched and moaned about Metroid: Other M because Samus wasn't EXACTLY how they pictured her to be. They wanted her to be souless and uncaring, and they got someone who actually gave a shit when someone close to her died, and actually reacted as any normal human being should when confronted by someone who MURDERED HER FUCKING PARENTS RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER AS A KID!
And they had the nerve to say that the devs were the sexist ones!
Apparently my comment went right over your head without even a care as to what I meant.
Thanks a lot!
Because we gamer men can't POSSIBLY be able to have female protagonists that either:
1. Show us constant tits all the time.
2. Act "manly"
Seriously, we need to grow the hell up.
Could be a big seller for the upstart console, though. Have to admit that, even if it would be the version the 360 and PS3 SHOULD'VE got, Nintendo could hit the jackpot if this is good.
No need to apologize, Ivy. You probably don't know the type of people you're trying to appeal to on this site sometimes. Not surprising that such kneejerk reactions come from the same people who called for George Hotz and console jailbreakers to get prison raped and have graphically violent things happen to them.
If you saw the drivel that happened here over that bullshit one year ago, you would see this as nothing new for them.
Actually, Guru, I think it's you that needs to answer a few things.
Even if this guy was right about the mode and all of that, what in any of that excuses this as being an okay comment?
The author is trying to convey here that the guy that made the comment made that under the impression that women do not play games like Borderlands 2 or other "hardcore" games that men play. He was generalizing an entire demographic of gamers when we SHOULD know ...
Sooo...you don't think the line was a dumbass one to say? Regardless of what this "mode" actually is, the term he used was just plain idiotic, and it implied something that he shouldn't have to begin with.
Flamebait article or not, bottom line is that this shows how sexist some of us still are in the gaming world.
Or it could be because of people getting burned out from DS without anything else to take their time away before MoP comes out. Or the new laws in China about MMOs.
Some people just don't think before they write, do they?
I think there was good reason for someone to sue Sony or to at least criticize them over the downtime of PSN. Yeah, it could've been for a security breach, but there was WAY too long of a time where we had complete silence over what was taking so long. I could understand having some secrecy to not expose to anyone else of the possible security risks, but c'mon! How are we to believe that you can't tell us SOMETHING about why it's taking you so long to fix something that was su...
Your entire comment is actually part of what I'm talking about. We're apologizing for companies doing things like this because we have a bias FOR them. Yeah, I own a PS3, and have owned all the other Playstations up until this point. I've yet to own a Vita, but it does show promise. I think Sony did well in their time as a game company. But does that mean I HAVE to support them in every single thing they do, or never think that something they do is doing something completely wrong...
Male gamers can't seem to stop being constantly sexist. How can they be ready to accept homosexuals when they can't stop being sexist and even racist?
Face it, in the gaming community, bigotry has been ruling for years now!
You DO realize that some people actually do think that the DS is better than the XBox one, right? And that it's not necessarily a fanboyish gesture to think that, right?
Honestly, I'm not sure why people are just NOW making this much fuss about the DS's design when it's been around for more than a decade. What's different about it now that wasn't there before?
There's a stark issue that this brings up: why should you have to pay for things TWICE?
This is a lot more tricky to know what to do because the people who could be pirating the stuff might actually be legit owners of the physical copy and want a digital counterpart so they can play it on the newer system.
What do you do? Call them criminals because they should have to give them money to rebuy something, or do you see that there is a demand for a way to...
