Can you name me a video game in which it remotely lives up to the movies?

No such thing exists.

It means options. If you have the bandwith to support it you should in thoery be able to pay a fee and have your games streamed to you therefore not clouding up your harddrive space with old games from PS1,PS2,PS3.

Options is a consumers best friend.

I understand what he means and it makes sense but it isn't only for TV's but it makes sense that this be a huge plan for them to bring life back into their TV market.

I'm really sorry that you feel that Sony is the only company pushing this current generation.

I understand you are a fan of Sony and I'm a moderate fan of Playstation but there is no need to go all delusional on us.

If you honestly think Sony is ahead of the curb that is fine but to think Sony isn't watching what is happening adapting, trying to stay ahead of the game, and learning from the competitors then I just see blindness.

That moment when you look at the list and you aren't really excited for any of those games in particular.

What does that even mean?

Now who is actually playing catch up?

Because all companies are playing catch up with each other.

Sony and Nintendo playing catch up with Xbox Live.

Microsoft and Sony playing catch up with motion control gaming.

Nintendo and Microsoft playing catch up with hardware fedility.

It doesn't matter who is in first or who is in last competition breeds change.

TV resoultion hasn't increased for quite some time as 1080p has been the standard and that jump from 1080p to 2160p is quite some time away as their is no for of media that can actually take advantage of the resolution.

You would need a new disk format, TV providers would have to increase all equipment, adoption would be hard to justify for the premium cost.

So rest assured 1080p will be the standard for TV for some time.

The one thing I want is a knockout mode. I don't want that special meter as a standard.

I loved the excitement of looking at the damage percentage and at anytime being able to knock someone out or being knocked out and then sudden death was the most intense thing ever.

Sony has good characters and good stages so far I just want options to have a damage meter mode.

Microsoft doesn't have to counter this quite yet because lets think about it:

What is a viable time frame for them to have the infrastructure to back this up and implement it in their products.

If I were Microsoft I would see if the market is truly ready for this by seeing how Sony does and if needed buying Onlive and putting it their Windows 8 products.

So are Sony expecting their fans to play all of their PS3 games over a streaming service?

Comcast in my area allows 300GB a month. I hope they have both options that allow them to be purchased on the store as well as for a fee have them streamed to you.

"Sony has most likely solved the backwards compatibility dilemma with this one move"

If that is their solution I feel bad for my internet bill lol.

Buying Vizio isn't a bad idea actually. It is an American company with only 400 employees and can penetrate the market.

I expect Microsoft to buy Onlive now and carry it to all Windows 8 platforms thus covering 90% of the computer market.

I love competition, it breeds companies to get better and not stay stagnet for too long.

I wonder what Sony will do with this. Do they have the ecosystem for this to be a success, I don't really follow Sony closely anymore.

If executed well this could be game changing in a sense but a hardware company pulling off a software driven ecosystem is going to be rocky.

I use Onlive on my Mac and it works fine so peoples fear on log and other concerns should be somewhat smoove if you have broadband internet.

Also, does Microsof...

I just find it ironic that now suddenly people think cloud gaming is very viable option now and now has the potential to change the landscape of gaming after this purchase.

Next generation consoles are a must at this point after these last crop of games come out. PC gaming has far exceeded the current consoles to a point where it isn't funny. PC gaming is a more affordable open venture and a booming free to play sector. I scream for change!!!!

Multiplayer is the future and will only get bigger and better. The market shows that if you aren't a massive RPG worth the money you want replay value. There will be multiplayer of some sort.

I don't think it is that bad though. The problem would be DLC but I think they'll get a wake up call next generation. If games increase to 70 then gamers will get fed up and vote with their wallet.

Next gen consoles will be about software and online services and less about who has the better graphics. The company that can tie in the social aspect as well as it being more of an all around machine and less of only a gaming beast will be better off. Gone are the days where we buy consoles strictly for games and single player experiences.

Now having subscribed payment options is highly intelligent just because most people will play online anyway. Just like phones or cars j...

Home should either be improved or it is a failure for next gen. BC is a foregone conclusion they can bank on reselling the games. Move in it's current state shouldn't move on. Sixaxis well why not couldn't hurt. I expect PS+ to he more like Live and features that almost make it a must to have.

Pretty good list actually yet I believe that PS3 will get caprice drop along with Vita. And GTA5 may get some trailer. I also see Nintendo console name change. Still good list though.

It actually isn't worth it.(for me at least). It is over priced compared to the competition I don't care if it is "worth it". PS3 was over priced and sure it was the cheapest blu-ray player but it doesn't matter. This not Apple...
