I agree no point in not being connected we are humans and we want social interaction. Even if you don't still want to know about others.
If they are going this route I would like demos for almost every game too. They would only go connected all the time if it meant one time codes which isn't a complete bother if people can try out the games before purchase.

What games are not understanding is this new generation of gamers are being bought up with touch screens and app store games and playing consoles is not really something a young person below 10 would be more inclined to play. The new generation dictates how the market will flow.

Wii-U at the most will run a light version of Unreal 4. Unreal 4 shatters Samaritian demo and that takes a 500 buck GPU to run, the 680. The reality of the matter is console games have unreal expectations about what is gonna be in these consoles and still want a reasonable price point. At the most we will be looking at native 1080p with steady 30fps.
I am looking toward to next generation of consoles but let's be real.
You console games make no sense. You want a cutting edge machine that has all these features but aren't willing to pay for it. You want a console that cost around 400-500 bucks yet you want native 1080p and a steady 60fps. The iPad cost 500 and that should be the least these cutting edge machines that will run Unreal 4.
Seeing no problem here. All it means is I don't have to go out and buy a game. The time it takes to go and buy t I can have it downloaded in this time and you can spend money on other components other than disk drives. Everything is going to the cloud and gaming is no exception. Its 2012 time to look towards the future.

No matter if the Vita succeeds or fails we are looking at the last dedicated handheld generation so they are technically right in saying Sony made the last portable you will ever buy.

Black Ops3(2014) will kill anything Dice does. If anything has been proven it is that graphics don't matter it is about gameplay.(Screaming EA fans and CoD haters talk about how Battlefield has the superior gameplay and everything else).
EA only real chance is Respawn Entertainment game which probably be a beast.
