Snipercontrol - "Sony are themselves no angels by any means..." Yes, but by and large Sony have taken a pro-gamer stance this gen right from the start and have not taken us for granted. In the end Sony, like Microsoft, is a corporation which wants to make a profit for the investors so there will awlways be issues that we as gamers will not be happy about. Nevertheless, I still feel that gamers will get more out of the PS4 in terms of exclusives as well as user experience.
SaveFerris, you are right. Imagine how bad Microsoft's introduction of the Xbone must have been to turn the American media off in the way that it did! However, it seems old habits die hard and Microsoft is getting a lot of support again. This is fine provided the media is fair to Sony as well, but the tendency has always been to be critical of Sony no matter how undeserved. Just look at how Sony was being criticized for not having a presentation at Gamescom even though Sony had already...
Regardless of how fun the game ultimately is, I suspect it will be quite unique and lovely to look at at the very least. Media Molecule has a well deserved reputation for thinking thinking out of the box and I have no doubt that 'Dream' will be another milestone.
Forbes, that bastion of American capitalism wants Microsoft to do something about this lead that the PS4 has over the Xbox! The whole article is about how Microsoft should be mounting a similar event to minimize the effect PSX will have on the news cycle. Geez, if this guy could will an event for Xbox, he would!
The thing is that the PSX is really a couple of weeks too late otherwise it would have a huge effect on Black Friday. Not that PS4 gamers are complaining - PSX is ...
Another self-serving article with incorrect information and manipulations of facts. This is the second such article today with similar content and I think that the Xbox PR machine is at work here.
"Sony is also struggling with first party titles at this present time. 2015 is positively barren..." Considering Sony have released 4 AAA titles over the last 8 months during which time Xbox has had none, this statement is clearly untrue. Between now and December there...
This article has an agenda, especially obvious when it outright lies about various issues:" Sony expects you to buy a new PS4 altogether if you run out of space on your current system" Not true. Unlike Microsoft, Sony made sure from the very beginning that the hard disk of the PS4 was upgradeable without affecting the warranty of the console. I and most people I know have replaced the 500gb hard disk with a 2 TB hard disk. It was very easy, took less than 10 minutes and cost me ...
Wishful thinking on your part. The gaming division of Sony is stronger than Microsofts'!
EA and Microsoft have always had a close association - just look at how EA was heavily behind the DRM policies that Xbox wanted to implement this gen but failed because of wholesale rejection by gamers. I expect Sony to be fully aware of the situation with Battlefront and EA Access.
Nintendo fired an employee for what they consider are legitimate reasons. Who is Blezinski to judge? As regards not working for Nintendo, he is arrogant enough to think that they would want him in the first place!
Many think Nintendo has over-reacted or are bullies but the company policy is there for a reason and the employee knew of it but still chose to do what he did. He cannot cry 'foul' now and neither should anyone else on his behalf. The employee is contrit...
The PS4 has many games releasing on the console each month between now and December. Whether they are indies, AAA, niche, JRPG, re-masters, exclusives or multi-plats is neither here or there - gamers want games they can enjoy and have fun with and the PS4 is giving them that. 'Tomorrow's Children', and 'Rime', two exclusive games which may well have a disc release in addition to digital are also due this year.
Xbone fan boys love trying to spread this ...
animalia - "Get used to it because because Microsoft is only getting started." It only took em' two years and even then so what? What do you really thinks is going to happen off the back of this one game? And even if all the devs and all the games started to take advantage of 'the cloud', what do you think, that Sony will just say "okay, we don't have the cloud, so we give up gaming and leave the industry" ? Sony will have to innovate and come up with a...
whoyouwit04 - Wow, such vehemance even though most PS4 fans have said nothing negative about Xbox or this new found destructive ability through 'the cloud' which I might add is still untested in the real world. Hey good for you if your console can now suddenly have 'total destruction' in all your games - for all the good that will do in making a game fun and unique.
Most of us PS4 owners are happy playing with our consoles as is, knowing that if there is no...
Well made points that continue to be overlooked in this mass of applaud for the effect the cloud is supposed to have on "Crackdown 3" and other games in the future.
"...I have no idea how ppl can hold another year"
Because many of us have patience, some are catatonic and others bloody minded (UK parlance).
ROTR is now officially "Uncharted: The Lara Croft Adventure" Or you could take Lara out and put Nathan Drake in and call it "Tomb Raider: The Nathan Drake Adventure". Take yer pick, they are the one and the same (really)!
The granddaddy of both of these fighting children will be Mr. Indiana Jones who himself owes his heritage to Saturday morning serials from the 30s and 40s so really we must thank Golden Age Hollywood which took inspiration from the pe...
It is good Microsoft finally won one of these shows - it only took non-attendance from Sony for this to be possible.
Mirocosft did not show anything we did not already know about since the games had been announced previously with the exception of the new Halo:Wars strategy game. It was good to get new trailers and gameplay trailers on Scalebound and Crackdown 3 but it seems this is it - this is all Microsoft has to show this year. So by the logic applied in this article, ...
"Microsoft's vision about a "connected" gaming environment wasn't wrong" - what rubbish! Regardless of whether the cloud could benefit a game like Crackdown 3, the reason why Microsoft's original vision for the console was wholly rejected by the world was because of all the anti-consumer policies that were to be implemented: Severe restrictions on trading or borrowing games and used games as a whole, the 'check-in once in 24 hrs or the console will not wor...
The 'passion' and "contribution" amounts to little beyond a boatload of cash to withold the game from Playstation, the consoles the franchise was most popular on.
But it is what it is and Microsoft have a timed exclusive for a year which is good for Xbone gamers and fans.
Those of us with both consoles may very well choose to buy the game earlier on the Xbone but I suspect that most PS4 owners will wait for a year as the version released may...
Poor journalism - the writer ought to know that SOE no longer exists after being sold off to an investment consortium who renamed the company as 'Daybreak Game Company'.
er.."not worth it" but still a good marketing move! Right so getting screwed is fine as long as it good marketing by the screwer of choice...
Perhaps if the console is better designed so that a new version would allow users to upgrade the hard disk themselves (as on the PS4) would be a even better marketing move, but I guess that would not allow Microsft to make money off the uninformed or the inexperienced.
If they had shame, they would not have tried to rip off the PS4 and Xbox One designs and would have spent money in creating their own prototype! Imagine if this actually got made and some poor bastard tried to use their new OUYE console with the new 'Batterman: Shanghai Knight'. It may well be a short experience.
China is one of the biggest sources of counterfeit goods if not the biggest which include not only the usual suspects of clothing, sunglasses, watches and...
