The xbox hasnt even outsold the PS3 by 1,000,000 consoles this year.
It has only outsold the PS3 by 700,000 and thats with Halo3,BioShock, and Mass Effect. This info is from vgchartz, but they overtrack the Xbox very often.
Whats all the celebration about? How is that "abysmal" or bad? Its selling on par with the 360 this year and will outsell the 360's first year by nearly 1,000,000
It still outsells the Xbox everywhere but in the UK and US. So it seems like everyone else likes what they are doing, and they still have the best exclusives, and they still are winning the format war.
So Xbox Kings can write all they want, and fanboys can sit here and clap it up, but it wont change the fact that this was the best year the Xbox will ever have, and by the end of next year many of you will have traded your Xbox's in.

did you know that 50,000 a week translates into roughly 200,000 a month? With the PS3's lead in Europe and Japan any lead in US is automatically nullified. Its a stalemate, but for some reason I see a better chance of the PS3 winning US than of the Xbox winning back either Europe or Japan.

Except the Xbox started first. Xbox lifetime sales wont reach past 30,000,000. Theres just no point to it after the PS3 has games. Better ports ended with Call of Duty 4. Better games ended when the end of the year lineup for PS3 had UT3, Uncharted, and Ratchet.
The Xbox has lost in Europe and Japan already, theres no come back for them because Sony is Sony. There wont be any worth while exclusive on the Xbox that can outweigh the Sony arsenal.

Also with Ratchet and Clank, Warhawk, and UT3 coming next week there is lots to do. It has games worth the price if you have an HDTV.

I don't even think xbox fans support hd-dvd anymore, they just need to give up already.
But I recently got an update on my computer for DivX support. It stated that the update better utilizes multicore systems for DivX video, making the video quality 50% better than it would be on a single core system.
This has probably been in the works for awhile, so I expect DivX videos will run extremely well on the PS3. Better than on most PC's or on the Xbox, as it will make use of "da cell".

Its everywhere. Its not our fault that Mass Effect was your last significant exclusive. PS3 fans have been calling this all along. Its be better system, its the more supported company in gaming, it has the best exclusives.

They shoot films at higher than 1080p. The movies you get on Blu-Ray are not upconverted. They are actually lower quality than the original film.
By the way if your on the borderline between buying a HD player, just look at Planet Earth on Blu-Ray. It was after seeing this that I HAD to get a Blu-Ray player. It was just convenient that the PS3 played blu-ray movies.
