Yes since PS3 was sold out and people were waiting for the slim. I don't think consoles were selling that well in general in the UK. The 360 just had a price drop, yet only sold about 14,000 in the UK (1/3(PS3) rounded up) same with Wii and DS.
PSP must be below 10,000.
So in that environment, the PS3 is selling really well. Even if it sells only half as many next week it will still most likely be outselling the 360 2-1 in one of the 360's best regions.
But this was a horrible update. They took away the sleek look of the PS3. Also in Socom i have to wait not for the persons room name to scroll across. This isnt huge but its an annoyance that I cant change back.
The status bar is cool, but most of this stuff I wont use and it made something i did use frequently less useful. Just allow us to modify the friends list and font size and youll be cool with me again Sony.

Microsofts camera is a crappy version of the Eyetoy! You can do everything they did on the 360's camera with the PSeye with a software update.
Sony's controller infinitely better. They have the best peripheral now. I mean come one, the guy at the demo couldnt even paint a damn picture! Where is the precision in that?
All I saw were already announced games, Alan Wake underachieving (looks like a wannabe Uncharted but with worse graphics), and a bootleg eyetoy that failed on the PS3 and will fail on the 360.
A new controller would have topped all of that, unless they plan to have real games released for their camera, something I doubt any developer will waste their time on.

Maybe this would have been my GOTY the past 3 years, but it may not be able to against heavy weights of this year. If you don't own a PS3 after the price drop then I don't know what the hell is wrong with you...
This thing has been in development since before the PS3 came out. It looks amazing considering how many people will be playing at once. It looks kinda like a PS2 game, but like I said with Confrontation, that isn't a bad thing.
It will probably look a little bit better once its released, but as long as it runs smooth with minimal lag everything will be fine.
And believe it or not Lil Wayne is a really intelligent person. If you don't like rap you won't like him probably, but if you looked at some of his raps objectively you'll see there's a lot more to his music than non-sense like Soulja Boy or other rappers these days (or past days for that matter.)
