Dang! I sure could use a glass of lemonade.
Seems like someone out there disagree with you so far...you already have 2 disagree so far. They will be more.
Anyhow, NES and the SNES have nothing to do with the 3D era,
but everything to do with the sprite era; which shouldn't be compared. And, as for the N64 on the other hand, it brought us the 3 dimensional style game play which capture everyone(core gamers/causal gamers) attention simply because it was something new. But that makes it hardcore? No! So, tha...
Since this is going to be Nintendo's first step in to the core gaming industry, I think
the curiosity level from the JAPS is going to be extremely high;and whether it could deliver graphic/game play that is good enough to attract hard core gamers. Another is, because 3DS have had so many bad reviews, I think the Japs are going to sit back and watch the Wii U from the side line to see if the Wii U will suffering the same fate as the 3DS. That being said, I think most Japs are goi...
I have to agree with this article. The Hardware isn't ready to push 3D the way it was meant to be.That said, Most major manufacture like Sony/Samsung/Vizio etc know exactly what it would take to make it work well, but the drawback is it would end up becoming too costly to implement expensive hardware to make it affordable. Instead, most manufacture would find a ingenious way to bring their half-ass products to market until the technology becomes affordable.
As for the 3D c...
@influxity
No, it's because the consoles don't have strong enough GPUs. There aren't many PCs with GPUs that run games on high in 1080p, let alone consoles. Most console games that run in 1080p have dumbed down graphics. I'd much rather a lower res with better gfx, than a lower res with shitty gfx. RAM has little to nothing to do with it. There's plenty of RAM to make 1080p games, but with high demanding gfx, 1080p just wouldn't cut it.
well, its because there just isn't enough RAM(512) which is the main reason why some game can't run in full 1080p. Further more, it would be too much headache for game developers to spend time on tweaking/optimization to get it to work.
And, of course, if developers decides to use low RES texture it wouldn't look good in 1080p simply because the blocky graphics would be more visible to the naked eye; which wouldn't look appealing to some. Not to mention, how much anti-a...
I agree with this article. Nintendo need to showcase the Wii U at the TGS or they will miss the perfect opportunity to restore their public image after the 3DS debacle.
However, though, I personally think the Wii U is going to be a different story in terms of being a successful hardcore gaming console.
In addition, the 3DS as well as every other system nintendo has ever created was never designed to attract core gamers. So, it would be quite interesting to se...
I will agree to a point, but not entirely. That said, I definitely agree that 3D is being reintroduction right now.
However,I just think that the refresh rate from most 3D peripheral isn't enough for 3D viewing right now simply because it too costly. But, that doesn't mean that the manufacture won't be tempted to come out with the technology anyways. Now, At 120Hz/240Hz is Dam good for simple plain TV viewing. Although, I know that the eyes can't see beyond 120Hz...
SUCKS
3D will most likely become a Fad if the Technology has too much limitations. And, if it does,it will simply disappear from the market until the technology improves in the future to be reintroduced again.
Platinum Game Studio all the way
I think Nintendo failed to the core gamers when the Wii graphics and Wii motion control/play mechanic didn't improve as much; after their 1st Gen Games.
That being said, some Core gamers simply got bored of playing the Wii and would rather spend the time and money on the PS3/360.
How the Wii U could recapture hardcore audiences??
(1) Nintendo need to buy at least one successful Game Studio that has the experiences to create FPS on Par with Gears/kill zone.
(2)Nintendo needs to create new IPs and create new stories for their current on-going AAA titles.
(3)Nintendo have to make the online experience as good as XBL/PSN or better.
(4) Nintendo need to stay away form Game port as much as possible simply beca...
Does anyone remember Target Earth on the Sega Genesis???
http://www.youtube.com/watc...
Awesome Game! I wish Sega would make a reboot of Target Earth.
what do you guys think?
If Nintendo releases Good titles when the Wii U launch, then it might be the biggest Threat to the PS VITA.
Can't wait to play it.
I don't think the PS vita is going to be affected by the Wii U in terms of sales revenues simply because the 3DS had gone through too much Bad reviews. That said, I think most Gamers are going to wait before they purchase the Wii U.
I think Nintendo is not worried about cranking out huge amount of polygon processing power from the Wii U. Instead, I think Nintendo main key ingredient to making the Wii U a success is adding a hefty unified shaders capability beyond any other gaming console to date. In addition, Packing about 2 gigs of RAM will also be another key ingredient.
OH, the fact that the Wii U has a total of 8 GB of flash memory under the Wii U hood could possibly be served as Nintnedo's sec...
See, I like having the option to install my own widgets/software etc with out having to deal with the security lock on the Phone.
That said, is why I Brought an Android phone. Not to mention, there way more widgets out there to choose from vs the Iphone. Now get my wrong, I like the Iphone for it high quality design and durability. But, I rather have an Android over the Iphone any-day.
Personally, I m glad Steve Job stepped down cause he is too dam Fu*cking...
@mr_mike
Seem to me you been sucking Mario di*k. I guess that why you have a mushroom for an icon. I bet your mom looks exactly like bowser, but uglier. So Don't get me started cause I will send you crying to your fat mommie.
First of all, Nintendo took all the credit for bringing us 3 dimensional game play experience which is inaccurate. Having said that, the credit should have been given to ANGEL STUDIOS for their award winning achievements in 3 dimensi...
