In all honesty, I also thought it was a joke when I first heard about how some movie studio treat celebrities like children in order to secure there properties.
So,I was just using celebrities scenario as my source of reference, just to draw out my conclusion on what i thought game developers should do in situation like this one. Now, I know what I said might seem a bit childish to some. However, though, I do believe no one should ever be treated like a dam step child if you a...
Having pounds of graphics on screen doesn't means its better. And, If you act me, I'd rather have fully animated visual than the plan old graphically impressive still backgrounds that hardly every moves. Now, By judging the Zelda demo graphics, I'd say that the amount graphics on screen, pixel by pixel, doesn't surpass gears or kill zone. Cleverly, I think Nintendo is going to focus on fully animated background/foreground which to me look a hell of a lot better than the same ol...
What ever the next gen brings, as long as everything is fully animated (background vs background) I'll be fine. I settle for small leap in graphics for fully animated visual any day. Please, No more still back-ground. I want wind blowing, trees flapping back and forth, smoke & fog effects,
Incredible lighting, roaches crawling everywhere, make it real and exciting this time damit.
Now don't get me wrong, some game have presented fully animated visual, but...
I m sorry if I miss the point of this article. But it hard listening to a long and boring podcast episode with out falling a sleep.
Anyways, I don't think Nintendo lost their confidence. I think Nintendo lost their focus. The reason i say that is because Nintendo are not aware of there own mistakes until someone gives them a wake up call.
Proof of this....
Nintendo was blinded by the fact that the Wii wasn't capable of handling certai...
Everyone keep blaming the journalists for leaking Gears on the net, which to me doesn't come as a surprise because most journalists are gamers too. Personalty, I think Microsoft is at fault here, for being so stupid. And,why on earth would M$ put the final build of Gears in the hand of a bunch of rejects in the first place?
Another is, why can't Game developers take the same extreme measure to secure their properties like Movie studio around the world?
@iamnsuperman
I disagree. Gear 4 and Foza 4 at launch would be a better idea simply because it would make it easier to make graphical comparison between both systems(lastGEN vs NextGen) from a recognizable franchise like Gears/Foza.This is, of course,is something that most core gamers love to do, make comparison, especially at the beginning. Now don't get me wrong, a new IP sounds like a great idea. But I'd rather wait until the game developers gain enough experience ...
History repeats itself over and over again. Just about every system(N64 to Wii ) Nintendo have released so far has never survived a full 10 years lifespan.I mean, I am tired of spending my heard earn money on Nintendo console only to be left with a gaming console with very little game to chose from. That being said, I am thinking twice and have reservations on weather the Wii U is going to be a success or not. Sure, because the 3DS had gone too much bad reviews doesn't mean Nintendo is do...
I love Nintendo, but they're constantly digging a deeper and deeper hole from one mistake to the next. That being said, some of the mistakes Nintendo has already made so far was quite Obvious; simply because it doesn't take a rocket science to know when not to use a technology that isn't ready for entertainment use. And yes, I m taking about 3D with out glasses. As of now, I blame Nintendo for that making this fatal mistake. Not to mention, the circle Pad is UGLY. And, if you ask m...
The question is,what are these 3 Games bringing to the gaming industry that hasn't already been done?
Hows that revolutionary?
I think the graphic in Resident Evil 4 are awesome, but the frame rate sucks.
The Circle Pad is one ugly looking peripheral. Heck, it looks like a tumor that needs to be surgically removed from the 3DS.
I have a bad feeling...by the time Nintendo figure out a workable solution for the Wii U controller, it will be expensive. Unless Nintendo is willing to take a lost for each Wii U control sold on the market.
Yeah,In some sense, I would agree that most new tech has a lot of problem out of the gate.
The thing is,I respect Nintendo for taking risk. But Nintendo need to do their homework before they incorporate a technology in their systems.
Lets face it Guys...The image compression techniques between both gaming console(360 vs PS3) are completely different. That being said,It like comparing JPEG vs BITMAP.
So, PS3 is going to have sharper graphics.
Nuff said!
This has been the worst year for Nintendo.
The 3DS is a failure. So, the Wii U is Nintendo's last chance to redeem themselves.
I agree, Nintendo will do fine. But, it seems apparent that
Nintendo did not realize the causal gamers who have been supporting Nintendo from the start are changing in to core gamers from one GEN to the next. So now that Nintendo is aware of the change, it would be quite interesting to see how well Nintendo does in the core gaming market.
I agree, Nintendo have made a huge mistake by implementing a technology(3D with-out glasses) that is still in the testing phase. And, I also agree that, this will be a great opportunity for Sony to capitalize on Nintendo's mistake.
I think Microsoft and Sony will announce their NEXTGEN console at E3 2012 just to deflex some of the attention away from the Wii U.
So, I guessing that 2013 holiday season would be the official launch date for Microsoft/Sony NextGen gaming console.
I also think Microsoft will introduced a hybrid version of DX-11 if the rumors are true (avatar graphics) I know I know dream on! Truth is, I don't ever recall hearing false statement from AMD, so I'l...
$250 sound great for Nintendo's NextGEN gaming console. But, I think its highly unlikely that Nintendo would ever price the Wii U at $250, considering how many times Nintendo messed up this year alone. That said, when a company makes too many mistakes, it can result into millions lost to wrong decision making.
Oh, and what about for those who have already spent their hard money on the 3DS? Another is, what if Nintendo decides to release a new and improve 3DS with the seco...
