Retro is good at making reflective textures in a game.
so its would either be R-zero, star-fox, metroid, or a new IP.
Personally, I think Retro is working on a new IP, possibly a FPS like Halo or Gears.
Guys,
Its quite obvious Nintendo is hiding something that will shock most of us when they finally reveals the full specs of the Wii U console.
so far, I have noticed One clues that always seem to come to mind when ever I read a article about the secrecy behind the Nintndo's Wii U specs.
Hint Hint---Nintendo said that there main goal is to make games that gives us new gaming experiences, not graphic.
so that leave me to...
I have a feeling Nintendo is going to release a repeater for those who wants to go beyond 24ft range.
Beside, How else do we suppose Nintendo to keep cost down of their next Gen console if they add a better range wifi to Wii U's gamePAD controller?
I don't think the nextgen console will bring avatar level of graphics; but in a decade from now I believe we will.
The next paradigm(break-thru) in computer technology will be quantum computers; so no one can't really predict the future.
Guys,
the 360 are equipped with a 12x DVD drive, capable of a maximum read rate of 15.85 MB/s. The Wii U are equipped with a drive, capable of a maximum speed of 22.5 MB/s, that's fast.
So I can see why Nintendo went with 1gigs for Main memory.
Oh I forgot to mention...
Mass Effect 3 was developed to run 780p on older gaming console(360/ps3), so to scale it up to 1080p means the dev would have to use higher anti aliasing to blur out the textures or the graphics would end up looking blocky.
Higher RES textures = less anti aliasing = less work on the GPU
Lower RES textures = more anti aliasing = more work on the GPU
Guys,
I highly doubt Nintendo would release a huge lineup of games to output native 1080p, until the nextbox/ps4 comes out.
"Save the best for last"
Personally speaking,
I’m Sick And Tired Of Hearing(Nintendo specs) rumors....
Personally,
I think Nintendo is making some good choices so far.Though, With 3rd party developer like Namco working on smash brother, I can clearly see Nintendo will prove to us all that they are serious about the core market.
Another note,I will make a prediction that the next Metroid will be developed by Platinum studio.
Keep up the good work Nintendo!!
@jerethdagryphon
I agree, Devkit by nature have more Ram than the retail version. Well that because the added Ram is mainly used for debugging purposes.
Now the reason why I believe Batman AC was created on an early Devkit is because I don't think Nintendo would be stupid enough to allow 3rd party dev to tap in to the wii U's full hardware capability unless Nintendo has something new and appealing to show off next year E3.
Another...
Personally,
I think Batman Armored Edition was created on an early DEV KIT,though perhaps that would explain why batman is not as detailed as the PS3 version.
Beside, if Nintendo allow developers to tap in to the full capability of the wii U, than they won't have anything left to show us when the ps4/720 comes out.
Just my 2 cents....
Guys,
8 Gigabytes of memory space is more than enough for DLC,game save, etc. And, of course, if the Wii U's optical drive read/write speed is faster than PS3/360 optical drive, than I don't see why Nintendo wouldn't use any part of the 8 Gigabytes for virtual memory.
Though, having a much faster optical drive than the 360/ps3, can in fact give the Wii U's an edge on data transfer.
Perhaps, this is the reason why Nintendo haven...
Guys,
None of this makes any sense. So if Nintendo new devs takes up a whopping 512 of RAM for the OS, it wouldn't be enough RAM left to run games in High def/high textures and graphics. Though 1 gigs of ram is not going to be enough to do what Nintendo says the wii U can do.
We have 7 more days left until E3. so lets all just sit back and wait to get all of the facts.
For its part, Nintendo has said its focus with the Wii U is gameplay, not graphics. "We do not focus on technology specs," Nintendo said in March of this year. "We understand that people like to dissect graphics and processing power, but the experience of playing will always be more important than raw numbers."
Hopefully this statement isn't true cause if it is, the Wii U will definitely end up like the wii scenario.
Agreed, UR4 will probably become the standard for multiplatform games. If So, I hope Nintendo would be kind enough to implement the UR4 support for the wii U because if it doesn't , it will pose a huge problem for any multiplatform games to be ported over to the Wii U.
The reason I say that,UR4 will have more effects and tools that is more robust than UR3. That said, it would probably make it very difficult to port games between both game engines(UR4/UR3)
All Nintendo have to do is make sure the Wii U can handle the Unreal engine 4 at a reasonably level ; because if it doesn't, the Wii U will automatically fall behind graphically wise.
how about:
Nintendo Tribute (To Miyamoto)
Wii Tribute (to Miyamoto)
Personally,
I think the Wii U is going to do well when it first comes out, but I wonder if a game were to be developed from the ground up using the Unreal 4 engine, could it be scale down to run on a system such as the Wii U that's only capable of running Unreal 3 engine?
First off, let me say this, Nintendo can only do what Nintendo can do! That said, if you notice lately Nintendo pass on some of there major IPS to more experienced developers, especially now that Nintendo decided to enter core gaming market. Fact is,Metroid prime was the work of Retro, other M was the work of team Ninja, the Zelda demo was probably the work of Retro. Now don't get me wrong, I love Nintendo but I haven't seen anything coming them that makes me believe they are serious ...
Guys,
I don't blame Sony to cut how much power the PS4 will have simply because every gaming console Sony ever released in the past so far, lacked one major thing, RAM.
By adding lots of RAM under the PS4 hood, will enable game makers
from all over to create game with lots of fluid animation, effects, extreme background/foreground lighting, and new & improve play mechanics.
If you ask me, I'd be willing to trade in some am...
