Guys,

Preparation is key in the gaming industry.

So, I think Nintendo want a contingency plans in place just in case the wii U doesn't work out.

If the wii U fails, I believe Nintendo will stop making the home TV console and make a handheld system one can use at home as well as on the go.

Though, merging the R&D departments together is just a temporary move in case things don't work out. And if it doesn't work...

That's where the unreal engine 4 comes in.
The development tools are now a lot more efficient than last GEN Dev tool. The code system is a lot better and easy to setup, the devs don't have to wait for the game to compile anymore, it runs in real time. You get the idea. So my point is, now that these development tools are better we wont experience the same thing we all did last Gen.The Time frame will probably be cut to half.

The question is what can Valve give us all that we haven't already experienced before? In other words, if valve want to be successful in the gaming industry they're going have to bring something new. Oh, and no more motion control either.

Now don't get me wrong, I m sure Valve's Steam Box will do well in the gaming market. but if Valve want to complete with Microsoft and Sony they're going to have to spend some serious bucks.

Valve need t...

Nintendo has to reinforce their current line-up to make people want to spend more on the Wii U and not save up for a PS4 or Xbox Whatever.

I assure you that Nintendo will bring the ruckus this coming e3 2013.

My predictions....

First,Nintendo will have a huge line up of games. A running demo of smash bros, bayonetta 2, and a new Mario 3d game(demo) that was developed using the unity engine.

Second, Nintendo will announced a ...

This is just my educated guess...My question is the GPGPU programmable when it comes to frame rate?...if so than it shouldn't matters if a game runs at 60fps anymore simply because of how a GPGPU works. My points is, I think certain part/object on screen can be programed to run at any frame rate the 3rd party pleases. So rendering the entire games at 60fps won't be needed. Just my guess.

Second hand games on the way out? Hope this isn't true because if for any reason your game system break down you'll be suck with a bunch of games that won't work for any other game console. That said, I hope Microsoft/Sony include a life time warranty or they'll end up pissing off a lot of PS4/720 owners.

Sure, Monster Hunter, Dragon Quest, Bayonetta 2 are all great Wii U exclusives, but that won't be enough to satisfy all hardcore gamers.

Though, I think Nintendo was completely aware the mistake, and and that if they introduce a tablet game pad for their Next gen console, it would require more cooperation from 3rd party Devs to spend the extra game development time to add sub menu/etc to the Wii's U games. Both for tablet game pad/pro controller's functions would ...

Guys,

Nintendo is not going to release another gaming console until 2016-2017. In terms of Wii U's graphical capabilities being so weak, I think Nintendo was forced to take their new Game pad in account for how much more work would be needed from DEvs to program sub menu/etc to the Wii U's game pad controller.

Though, this of course will definitely be a major problem for Nintendo when Microsoft/ Sony release their Next gen console. multiplat games th...

Google maps sounds like a great Idea.

Though, I think Nintendo want to improve the Wii U's online/social network by adding Google maps.

Lets say you want to find out where someone lives(state) on your wii U's friends list..then all you have to do is click on their name and Google maps will display the distance between you and your friend on the wii U's game Pad.

I also think it would be a good idea if Google maps can tell you whe...

Bottom line...

Guys,

we all know that the wii U is a great system, but what everyone fail to realize is that the wii failed because several 3rd party's Dev kept complaining about how the wii couldn't deliver graphics on the same level as the ps3/360.That said, Nintendo was left with very little option to save the wii and was forced to go back to the drawing broad and make the Wii U.
So with in my conclusion, Not having the support of th...

Wow!!

I wonder what would happen if Sony's new DualShock hybrid controller get neutered.

High Sales don't prove anything....

Though what Bugs me the most about Nintendo is when they kept on running their mouth about how their Next Gen( wii U) gaming console was going to deliver graphics on a hardcore level.

Now get get me wrong, the wii U games line up looks amazing so far. So my questions to you is what is going to happen when Microsoft and Sony releases their Next Gen console?

Will the Wii U hardware be able to handle mul...

Dang Nintendo,

You still haven't learned from your last mistake with the wii. Mutiplat games Ports was the reason for your failure
last Gen, and you do it a again with the wii U.

Heck, I think the PS4/720 is going to have the wii U for breakfast.

Guys,

Its quite Obvious that the Wii U gaming console would look attractive
to most gamers, especially when there is no other console out there to compete with it. But when the 720/pS4 comes out next year I believe our feelings/ views will change if the PS4/720 surpasses the Wii U by a huge margin.

And if that happens to be the case next year the wii U might end up like the Wii scenario(3rd party dev abandoning the wii U for the superior console,720/...

Guys

Ports doesn't prove anything...

well,After seeing how nicely zombi U in game graphics looks on screen, I realized the Wii U's GPU has a lot potential.
Though, I really would love to see a game on the wii U that was build from the ground up before passing judgment on what the wii U can do.

I look forward to playing bayonetta 2.

Nuff said!

Hands down

The Wii U Call Of Duty Black Ops II Screenshot looks way better than the 360/PS3 screen shots. The skin tone on the Wii U's version has more color which looks natural visually wise.
The ps3/360 version of Black Ops II is too dark for my taste.

Ok you're right!

But Personally, I think Nintendo wii U gaming console is not design to output high polygon on screen like the PS3/360.

That said, I think Nintendo is going to rely on using high quality texture wrapped around object that has less polygon to achieve to same visually impressive graphic we all experienced last gen.

Personally, I think Nintendo wants their system to work smarter not harder.

Guys,

According to this article the Wii U is slower than six year old PS3; but what everyone fail to realize is that the Wii U console has a faster optical drive than PS3/360.

OK Lets do the math here:

360 disc reading times are 15.85 MB/s. at max + 512 MB of RAM

PS3′s Blu Ray drive reads at 9MB/s + 256MB XDR Main RAM,256MB GDDR3 VRAM

Wii U drive reads at 22.5MB/s + 2GB of Ram

Agreed, running games of SD cards on consoles isn't very efficient.

Not the mention, Sd card uses the FAT allocation table, which isn't very secure, and would allow hackers to easily bypass it's security.
