I disagree, Parents buying the cheapest Game system for their kids was a thing of the past.
Hell, I've seen many parent buy their kids a $500-700 Iphone.

Sony themselves has lots of manufacture resources that Microsoft don't have under their belt.
With Sony's manufacture resources at hand , they can make any changes on the Fly while Microsoft would have to consult with their manufacture partners if any changes to the 720's hardware is needed resulting to more delays.

It just that I don't see metriod as a FPS. The 3rd person preservative game play view is good in all but I'd rather it be more like Other M in my opinion.
Other M was a great attempt by team Ninja; to make it as close possibly as they could to the 8bit 2d metroid. but I like said before, the wii's optical space wasn't enough to make it good. Time will only tell.
I did get a chance to watch Nintendo Direct video and I wasn't excited.
Yoshi was OK, the remake of Zelda WW was ok, and as for the rest of the game that was shown was Ok except for Bayonetta 2,brand new game from the makers of Xenoblade, and the announcement of smash bro.
I could be wrong so I'll wait until e3 2013.
