but I don't think you can accurately judge the future 3rd-party support of a system that hasn't even been out for a year yet.
Current 3rd-party titles such as Rayman Raving Rabbids, Super Monkey Ball, and RE4 make great use of the Wiimote's strengths, while Red Steel, Cooking Mama, and SC:DA are subpar control-wise. There are also some 3rd-party games on the horizon that supposedly make heavy use of the Wiimote's motion/IR capabilities - No More Heroes, Manhunt 2, Madden 08,...
I like my Wii and all, but to rank it amongst the best consumer electronics products EVER seems a little bold and exaggerated. While this is the intent of the author, many will not catch on to it and simply think this author is crazy or wrong.
Seriously, was anyone on this site actually eagerly anticipating this game?
Man, I wish I had time to devote to things like this.
lol, I think the length of the Google-translated link you posted as part of the update is screwing up the site layout. At least in my browser.
Hmm... looks like I will have to make another run to the game store today and pick up SimCity DS lol
I managed to pick this up yesterday. I never played the GC version so you can all imagine how blown-away I am by this title. The storyline, atmosphere, controls, sound, everything. It's a VERY immersive game.
The manual also indicates that there is a LOT of bonus material to be unlocked in the game, and I don't know how much of that was present on the GC. This game is amazing.
So the Wii will have Manhunt 2 but the PS2/PSP will not? Anyone who has said that the Wii is a "kiddy console" must be having a hard time w/ that foot in their mouth.
EDIT:
I stand corrected. On one hand, I was hoping to to play the game in its original form but on the other hand, I may never get to play the game unless its rating gets "downgraded" to M. Hopefully all consoles for which this title was intended will be able to see the releas...
Maybe we should compile a list of retailers that DO sell AO games?
I just hope my girl doesn't freak out when I play this game.
I think that the BBFC refusing to classify Manhunt 2 shows that the classification system is insufficient and incapable of providing ratings for any game released, regardless of content.
"Take Two has to focus on making games that everyone will want to play"
This is what Nintendo does, and yet you troll Nintendo news stories all the time. Don't be a hypocrite.
Why would a PSP version be "light years" better than a DS version? The PSP's 2D graphics capabilities are not "light years" better than the DS's, and it lacks an additional screen.
I like the fact that this new Contra will have a grappling hook. Bionic Commando anyone?
As far as I know, Live does not have an internet browser. Nintendo made it known that they will start charging for this browser in June but it is free for now. Why the cost? Probably because the browser was developed by Opera and not Nintendo. Granted, the PC Opera browser is free but development of the Wii version took additional manpower and had immediate project deadlines.
What about the lactose-intolerant?
This isn't a direct Gamecube port though. It has the additional content from the PS2 version.
I know you've exhausted your bubbles but I'd like to continue this conversation. Perhaps we can just edit these two comments and append our replies?
Without a doubt, a more immersive game will have a greater affect on the individual playing the game. But are you suggesting that games other than Manhunt are not immersive? All of these games convey violence in a way that could influence the actions of those that play them.
I did not suggest that premeditated mur...
The Wii is obviously not "for" kids, but it is the most "kid-friendly" of all the current home consoles on the market. It has parental controls for a reason.
Wow, the Wii is starting to really rack up those exclusives. The trailer looks pretty cool actually.
