if MS drops Scorpio 2... what do you think Sony will do? just stop? geez you guys make ridiculous arguments. I don't think you guys realize it'll just go around in a cycle... and that's why I don't get why "gamers" are trying to throw it into other "gamers" faces. I know why, it's for petty reason, it's for bragging rights.
As far as I remember, the dev kits usually have "more" than the final product. Mostly because development happens on it, all that other software has to run on that kit. If it were the same spec then it would eat into the available power of the final system.
It's like the PS4/X1 8gb of ram. The OS on those systems take up a portion of that 8, therefore you could never really use all 8gb. So if you wanted to use 8gb you'd have to first have more than 8gb.
...
This is what I really don't get... Why throw "power" around like that title won't switch hands?!?! If there are no longer any generations and these consoles are now on a 2/2.5 year cycle... why brag and flaunt around? I guess being able to do that for 2 years is fine? Then hide for a couple years till your "champion" is on top again, in terms of power... just sad.
It honestly makes me scratch my head to see grow ass adults acting like children. ...
@TitaniumRx what's also even more comical is that Xbox said no to this game... first! Xbox had a chance to pick this up as an exclusive.
there are games on every console that run @ 60fps...
Also, Destiny 1 ran at 30fps. I honestly don't think either, Pro or Scorpio, are truly 4K gaming consoles... not till the next iterations will they be. If 4K is that important to you maybe think about investing in a PC. They got 4K there, 4K native everything!
@Rude-ro I think people forget that it's mandated these games, although releasing or Pro/Scorpio, have to run and play well on the vanilla consoles. It's really up to the developer if they think it's worth the time and effort to optimize for the mid-gen consoles. They have to weigh the options, do we focus on the majority or the minority? I have a feeling that unless these games are specifically made for Pro/Scorpio and then ported down to the vanilla consoles that the code is jus...
I'm kinda even getting a Bioshock Infinite vibe... with the American flag and the character, in the middle, looking like a Comstock like character.
Hey guys, it's just business! Get over it, Tomb Raider says HELLO! No matter how you slice it, now matter how long your explanation, it's all the same. You're just a ruling semantic, don't waste your breath... call your local government representative (lol cause I think some of you would actually do this) if you think it's anticonsumer.
@Thatguy-310 yup, shouldn't be an issue but all I see is "blah blah blah cry cry cry" This is business, get over it. If the shoe was on the other foot the crybabies wouldn't be saying zip. If Xbox was in this posostion, if they had the opportunity to do this... they would, if you don't think so you might be delusion.
oh, so now it's bribery, now it's scummy, now it's shitty... I assume you think this didn't happen last gen and it's because Sony is an "evil" company, right? We should get the federal government involved in this! There needs to be an investigation, we need to know if Sony is intentionally holding the Scorpio back... You guys should really get a grip on your sanity, cause that shit is slippin.
hmm... I mean it could be, but like a lot of people have pointed out "we need to see more gameplay" The only footage that we have looks fine, but it didn't have quite the impact as the first footage of HZD.
I haven't read the article, but just based on the title are they saying that Xbox's "Play anywhere" concept is similar to Nintendo Switch's hybrid console, that you can actually pick up and play... anywhere? Like a few have already stated, Sony has had the Vita and remote play for awhile now... although I've never actually gotten it to work over the internet, I have seen other get it working.
I find it a bit comical to compare Nintendo's Switch...
I actually kinda hate these things... I think it's impressive, but it's such a tease. No real-time game is gonna get close to that for a while, geometry/texture quality, so I don't see the point... I'm mostly disappointed that I can't play anything that looks that good.
Gonna have to admit, I actually thought the same thing. I had to do a double take, that's some good CGI.
Makes you wonder what would have happened if Nvidia was able to close the deal w/Sony & Microsoft... also makes you wonder where AMD would be if they hadn't partnered up with those two.
lol that's hilarious!
On topic, I don't even have 1 Platinum trophy!
I ask this very same thing when there's comments like "Nintendo innovates and the others don't" I don't know if it's because it's just Nintendo, but they get credit for everything. Some of it is due, trust me I know this, but in terms of the Switch what exactly makes it so different from the past handhelds: Is it the ability to play it on your TV? the iPhone/Android have been doing this, also the Nvidia shield. Among the big 3, Nintendo/MS/Sony, they are the firs...
Sony is absolutely a profit driven corporation... they're just willing to take more losses than the others, especially when it comes to games, for better or worse.
Sony could totally lose the NA, currently they stand at 17 Mill vs 16 Mill. Worldwide sales of PS4 is currently @ 60 Mill. Its important but in the grand scheme to things it's just a portion of the total sales of PS4. Of course there are people who only care about the US sales and believe that those sales are the most important... I personally don't buy into that line of thinking.
Also... compete? In terms of what? Power? No, they won't be able to. Games, you...
