A 980 Ti is currently around $600 on Amazon. I've heard that a really good rid with a 980 Ti can run a 4K game at around 30 fps.
I really don't think either the NX, or PS4K, or Xbox Next will be able to render a games at 4K. 4K movies, definitely... a game upscaled to 4K, probably.
Couldn't agree more, but people have their pride and feelings invested in some games... when that happens, it's hard to accept a view that differs. This same thing will happen when the UC4 reviews come out and they're not all 10's.

Watched the whole video, it didn't seem like damage control. That video is actually taken from their weekly podcast/stream. They actually went more in depth about their reasons.
At the end of the day, Reviews are opinions, and sometimes they're not gonna align with yours. What look at as most "important" when it comes to reviewers and their reviews is consistency (from game to game), never the scores they give.
@Spetic you incited a riot over here! But you seem to be the most level headed one actually. The review scores are all over the place, ranging from 10 to 4.
I tend to like Jeff Gertsman's reviews, why? Cause he's very detailed oriented and nit picky. And gameplay/feel is king for him! I'm guessing that your fears were about the gameplay?
@Wallstreet37 It's a game from a studio that is highly respected and regarded as one of the best. A lot of weight was put on this game! It's hard to accept that a game is just "good" and not "great"... when it was built up, by fans, to possibly be GOTY material.
I would still buy this game and see for myself. Opinions are opinions after all.
Really.. i think PS fanboys think PS games are underrated and Xbox fanboys think Xbox games are underrated. Just depends which side of the fence you're standing on, and if you're a fanboy.
The fact is reviews are just a person's opinion. My policy has always been to buy the games that interest me... I've played a lot of games that were said to be average, that were far from it. I've always played games that were said to be Amazing, that I found very avera...
or "Proof" that the PC is where you need be at if you want the best graphics/res/framerate.
So much hopes and potential Fanboy ammo is laid on QB and UC4, So much! It's sad cause it's almost like people don't want a game to be great cause they want to play a great game... they want a game to be great and exclusinve, so they can throw it into someone else's face.
Like I said before, Xbox has one hell of an Ad Agency working for them. A lot of people will read this and not another thought toward it.
No way it'll play games in 4K. High-end PC's run 4K, well. I don't know what a PC that can run a game on Ultra settings, Solid 30 fps would even cost.

Ugh... is that even possible? Wasn't Evolution a 1st party Sony studio, ala Lionhead? Wouldn't that mean that MS could only recruit the employees of Evolution like how Sony held a job recruitment thing for Lionhead?
@dlconspiracy Okay, cool. That's your opinion and that's fine. But you can't come out, in your first post, and almost say it as fact. Gotta give some kinda of explanation as to why you think QB has more "physics" going on in the game. That opens up a discussion, at least.
And the whole 720p vs 1080p thing is a bit ridiculous... but doing a thing in 1080p is WAY more taxing than doing that same thing in 720p, that's just fact!
This is still going on from yesterday... The simple fact is the Engineers at Remedy found or ran into a roadblock/bottleneck and found a solution to get around it that resulted. That solution resulted, likely, into a game that looks better than if they didn't. I applaud they're ingenuity!!!
@dlconspiracy Really, I think they're disagreeing with you cause you're assuming from videos that QB is doing more physics than UC4, based on videos. You're also saying that because some things on screen are moving and some aren't, is more physics taxing... unless Remedy held a panel at GDC explaining why this is so taxing, people kinda just want some evidence... rather than arm-chair quarterbacking.

@Septic It could absolutely head to X1, but it won't be with the help of Micorsoft's $$$. As many have stated, the pitched to MS first and they passed on it, hard!
This game needs $$$ to be finished... maybe Kickstarter. As far as it being good, it's a great looking game. I don't know if it can live up to it's looks!
@Kyanu is it still considered "pre-rendered" if it's in-engine? I don't even know if that matters or not.
I'm thinking it's in-engine but with some touching up here and there!!! Only because it's such a small team making that game that I don't know if they would have the time to dedicate to a CGI trailer.
It's possible... it could also be pricier than the current move controllers.
Someone asked Andy House why didn't include the camera, his response was the they felt quite a few current PS4 owners already had them.
I was hoping they would also debut a new "move" controller, but maybe in the future.
I agree with @Ck1x most people will see 4K and believe it renders games at a native res of 4k. It'll probably take another generation before home consoles can render natively at 4k... unless of course there is some kind of break through in GPU tech in the very, very near future, because the next gen home consoles are being engineered right now.
