I 100% agree that MS tapped a market and ran with it but the question is how long can they keep it up?I actually like FPS so I would hope for quite some time. To continue they're success MS must do more to convince people that the 360 is the best console on every platform, not just a couple. can we agree?

Having read the Halo books I seen no reason why it wouldn't be a good movie(though the concept would have to be ironed)but you all forget the most important part: Whether it's good or bad it's going to make a truckload of money regardless.
The Gamestop's around my way are pretty good and they have people who play a diverse amount of games. When I ask for a second opinion it's normally informed so I can't complain. With the trade-ins FuncoLand(for those who remember)was much better at giving you a fair value for your games but if you don't like it then don't trad-in your games there...it's really not that hard.

I agree without a doubt a FF7 remake will sell the most games for it's entire genre(MMORPG included)A remake of FF6 would sell a little worse but there are a lot of us FF fans who wouldn't hesitate to pick up either one of these in large quantities. I like what Nintendo is doing with it's innovation. I think they are a little ahead of their time though for hardcore gamers. This reminds of Virtual Reality gaming. Of course the games are going to look worse because there is a lack of experience with programming on the PS3(which is typically expected when a new console comes out especially if it's new hardware). It's great that the company posted a profit for it's games division but it wasn't only Halo that accounted for the WHOLE company being put on the must buy list. That being said the 360 is in it's second year now and it's posting a profit which has happened and is expected of most gaming divisions for as long as I can remember(I'm 23). If Sony doesn't post a profit by next year(it's second year)then you can start saying that Sony is in deep S**t. Kudos to Microsoft!!! and death to Apple!!!
No argument on that one but you can't deny that Halo 3's phenomenal sales had a big impact on the division's bottom line. That being said I hope they(the gaming division not the whole company)can keep operating in the black because a price drop won't be far off.

This is great news for Microsoft and by extension gamers also. I won't buy a 360 now because it's doesn't appeal to me for $349 but if they cut the price one more time(which they might now do because they aren't in the red) then i'm definitely buying one. Having both consoles for less is great!!!

Correction: Their games division is losing money. The company as a whole posted a profit of almost $2 billion.
Good for MS. Mind you they did this with the sluggish sales of Vista and increased demand for Apple machines(Apple sucks). Where does it say in the article what the games division made?
