Yeah I know. It was so bad I had my father ask me what Halo was and why was he seeing a commercial or ad for everywehre he went. It was pretty funny i'll admit but MS had that down because $300 million in a week(or couple of days I can't remember which one) is ridiculous!!
Sony can cut the price again. In case you haven't noticed the tech inside of the PS3 is getting cheaper, meaning that each console comes closer to being out of the red. The 360 just started turning a profit and that was for one quarter, mainly because the cost of production went down as all products which use new technology do. Also with Blu-Ray in the lead those parts will be cheaper also. That being said i'll be picking up a 360 when they cut the price so I can play Lost Odyssey(which looks ...
Well said. Advertising is everything. People can't buy something if they don't know it exists or think it's a waste of their time. Look as MS's marketing of Mass Effect and Halo 3. They need to take a page from that blitz the media with those titles. Doing this will ensure that these games sell the numbers of copies great games are supposed to.
Agreed!!! They have to be doing something to sell 1.2 million with each going at an average of $500(for all SKU's). And to think, all the fanboys said the PS3 was a flop. I would say 1.2 million during the holiday season and about 7 million in total is one hell of a flop!! And I can see the PS2 going 10 years though the support will probably die down in late 2008/early 2009.
Completely agreed. I play games to relieve myself of the pressures of my everyday life. I don't need to worry about moral consequences in a game. I'm fully aware of what it is i'm doing and i'm damn sure aware that i'm playing a game.
Agreed. This truly is a shame. I thought Zack and Wiki was a kiddie game until I actually played and found loads of stuff that made the game just great. I can't understand why games like this don't sell but crap like carnival games sells. simply amazing...
I've got admit that is pretty ironic..
Do you realize what that MS would be doing by adopting a Blu-Ray player add-on? They would most likely have to pay Sony licensing fees for the tech and that would be admission that MS lost.
Maybe i'm by myself on this one but what is getting shot gonna do for your 360, aside from leaving no one to play it?
Yeah I agree. I'm really getting tired of the HD-DVD is dead news. I think it's been thoroughly covered and we can get back to upcoming games and such.
Unsung hero that was friggin funny!!! Bubbles!!!
The declining value of the dollar isn't as major a factor as the housing market is. That's the real source of spending(on everything) slowdown in the country.
I don't like apple but this lawsuit has no legs and is stupid on it's face. There are plenty of other choices that support WMA just get one of those(creative is one of the best). Don't blame apple because they don't want to support MS's format.
I think they'll postpone it indefinitely until they figure how(if possible)they can recover from that shot Warner gave them.
Lost odyssey looks amazing though and i'm thinking of getting a 360 just to play that game.
While I won't argue that the games are great you must be out of your mind if you think all that money MS spent on advertising didn't have alot to do with those sales. That being said everyone should follow MS with thier marketing strategy because it's pure gold. People can't buy something if they don't know it exists.
You've got to be kidding me...
LED's are still too expensive for the main market but they are getting there. It may seem expensive but i'm the picture quality s superb(due in some part to the LED's)
I'm sorry Power of Green but aren't MS headquartered in Seattle? As such don't you think alot of people in that area would lean towards MS products? Just giving you something to think about.
In what universe is selling 1.2 million consoles in 2 months not good? And at it's 1st anniversary how many 360 were sold? I think the PS3 is at least doing just as good as the 360's first year and possibly even better considering the stiff comp that the 360 is putting up with it's games and the Wii's casual appeal.
