I don't know anyone who has a Zune but i'd damn sure take a Zen player(one of the best on market) or Zune over the ipod, since I can't stand them.
Do you have any data supporting your claim that the Zune is second? If anything I figured it would be Creative Labs Zen or the Sansa Sandisk.

No argument that net income is important but revenue(in some cases)is equally as important. You can have a large net profit on a small revenue. If you have a large amount of revenue and expenses all you need to do is find a way to cut your expenses(since your revenue is already high).
Yeah most people who bothered to look could see that the PS2 was buoying the PS3. Since people love to talk about attach rates and money coming from software, the PS2 fits perfectly into that mold. It also keeps their main fanbase happy, which makes them more likely to get a PS3.

They probably feel that the sales over the holiday vindicated the $400 price tag. I would love another price cut but if they're breaking even or making a profit on each system then i don't think they'll do it. If MS cuts the price then yeah it'll happen.
Yeah I doubt they are delaying it on purpose. Whenever it comes out it'll sell millions in japan. You've got to remember they love Final Fantasy like we(North America) love Halo.
