Bill did not just sit there and collect his money. Having watched a documentary on the BBC about him and his success at MS it is very clear how much of an influence he had at the company.
He would go into meetings with programmers of the latest OS, was quite harsh knowing what he wanted to achieve and tended to put people in their place.

I wouldn't go out and say that if I were you, the teams listed were talking about patching previous titles. Apparantely Sony are going to make sure all future games have trophy support to get certified as a PS3 game. So yeah future games will have them. Patching COD4 when they're working on COD5 is a little tough, I think they should get the PSN games updated first, then the big titles by the beginning of September, before LBP hits.

You won't get trophies for games you've already completed because that way people could copy or download game saves and get a trophy collection without earning it.
It's a brilliant idea to prevent cheating and I'd gladly play through my games again to get some trophies!
That's one of the biggest pros of 2.40 for me, not having to quit a game to read my messages. Was annoying during the B:BC demo getting messages and not being able to reply, or getting game invites when I'm playing MGS4 and not being able to tell them I'm busy fighting Raven.

Requiring 2-discs for a games is a thing of the past (Or so I thought), they were last gen, don't blame the developers that MS put out a console bound to the DVD9 format. They could have put out a HD-DVD console to allow for bigger single disc games but they didn't because it was more risky, something MS avoids completely now.

I'd agree with you if the second disc was just added extras like downloads to a HDD for added cars and customisation and things, but when the second disc includes things intergral to the game, like tracks, that's when a game is limited because it's not put out there in an ideal way.
