Announce new Metroid and Zelda games, that are coming to Wii U, PS4, X1 and PC! Only somewhat kidding : ).
Definitely want a new Metroid game and Zelda game though! Achievements and better network would definitely be nice, but I don't really see those two things as WOW worthy.
I don't really get that argument to be honest. Kinect is used throughout the OS including in games. I use Kinect to open games, switch games, multitask with games, start parties, accept party invites, record game clips, broadcast on twitch. Also Kinect does a lot of little things we don't even see such as monitor controller to preserve battery life, switch controller layouts if you pick up a different controller, changing volume, turning on and off the TV etc.

This is definitely the area ms has the most work to do, feature sets outside the US do not have the same value. Luckily I live in the USA, but if I didn't I would be much more reluctant to buy a X1.
Indies will make or break VR, they will take more risks, especially with adult content lol.
That is good to know, but I meant more along total bandwidth to play the games over their course. Many users have bandwidth caps. I don't imagine the bitrates will be super high especially since most older games are low res, but still curious.
Microsoft is bringing Xbox Live to IOS, Android as well as already being on their own Windows Phone which I guess would be their play on mobile gaming. It does kind of make sense too. Almost all the code for gaming is universal, it is just the services that really separate those devices. It will be up to developers if they want to use Xbox Live in their games. Personally I have been wishing for this for a very long time. My Friends are on Xbox Live, but they don't all have Windows Phones....
Wonder when it is coming out, that is very impressive for integrated graphics! Hope the next Surface Pro has that chip.
If it works well, I can see services like this killing the rental markets. So much more convenient to rent and "almost instantly" play. Would be nice if it works for new games on next gen consoles too. Be great to rent a game to see if you like it before buying. I don't see it as a solution for BC unless they set up a program where games you already own are free to rent, but as a rental service I think it has a ton of potential.
Questions that need to be answer...
I agree, I love indies. Many of my favorite games are from independent developers. However, Steam is so much better for Indies, their library is just huge. And they tend to add updates to their games more regularly, plus they usually have pretty low system requirements. I can even play most of them with integrated graphics on a tablet.
I agree, but I can definitely see them releasing a new SKU which is pretty typical after a year.
I would like to think all tech companies are searching for developer talent with those skill sets at all times : )
I thought that trailer was amazing. The futuristic elements mixed with an evil Kevin Spacey, what is there not to like : ). It looked rather epic! I can see why people are skeptical based on Ghosts, but from what they showed it looks like the game is definitely getting a lot of new gameplay elements. I am excited to play.
I predict there will be lots of hype and release dates very far from now :D
That is fine with me but I do hope there are multiplayer modes that are coop/team based. Can't wait to see what they have done so far.
Seems that Battlefield kind of killed themselves. That game has completely fallen off the map as far as my friends list is concerned. Too many bugs I guess. Titanfall dominates what my friends are playing right now, but there is still quite a bit of Call of Duty activity as well especially on the weekends.
On the PS4, I don't really have any friends yet pretty new to the platform so I can't comment on activity there.
Personally I do think Titanfall is...
You don't have to say "Xbox Go Home", "Xbox Go To Games and Apps" and choose Power. You just say "Xbox Go To Settings" :D. Or conversely, you can click on the menu button and choose settings if you don't use Kinect.
Also you can force the update now, so no need to make it go to standby to force it. Now you just go to Settings, System, Update Console "it only shows up if there is an update available"
On X1 it just works with multitasking so much better. You can be in the kitchen and say "Xbox Go To 'game'" and it just opens and is ready when you walk in the living room. Same thing when a friend invites you to a game. Say you are playing Child of Light and there is a notification that a friend wants you to play Forza 5. Just hold down the Xbox Button and it loads right up. It is just more convenient. Plus it is backed up to the cloud which in my case is especially useful,...
I have yet to meet a person who buys physical disks on the Xbox One, but I guess they do exist :D. Digital just works so much better on that platform for multitasking, can't even imagine using a disc. Wish you could pre-order digitally for X1 and PS4, similar to the PC download option. Most times there is no reason to pre-order something that is digital, but the cases where it has a beta code like Destiny etc it would be nice. Especially with the new pre-loading feature on the PS4.
X1 already has DLNA although it only works with PlayTo tech, but if you have a Windows 7 or Windows 8 computer or tablet you are all set. I use it quite often. The only issue is it doesn't work with all codecs.
If you aren't sure how to use it. In Windows 8 go to charms, devices, play, xbox. In Windows 7, right click on the file and choose PlayTo or open Windows Media Player. Also on the Xbox One you have to make sure in settings it is set to allow PlayTo Devices.
I don't think some of the posters understand what a spinoff is in business. Very rarely is it a bad thing. Just means that one sector of a company either has gotten so big it merits its own stock or that the sector in question doesn't fit into the overall value of the company's primary investors.
Being MS is a business company it makes sense to spin off their consumer businesses to please the stock holders.
