I am not disagreeing with you at all. However, if there is on developer that could have made a PC release a requirement as part of the deal of developing Death Stranding for Sony it would be some one like Kojima. As pointed out he did say it was coming to the PC when he first talked about the game several years ago. I am just putting that fact out there. Of course, I don't think it will be on a PC ever. But, he does have that type cachet within the industry to make it a PC release at so...
Valve is developing new games again. Unfortunately most are for their VR but, none-the-less they announced back in March they are ramping up gaming development. They also have Artifact but that is stupid card game based on DOTA so I won't count it. There is at least three new VR games that are being developed. A VR portal game actually would be pretty cool (not announced but, a guy can dream). They also have said there is a single player (non VR) game in development as well.

I don't know how got from A to B. First, the 66% is not a reflection of growth of Sony PS4 in a year It is statement of revenue contribution for the current population of all consoles since the beginning of this generation to the end point as related Sony's last fiscal year (2018) and it is the revenue garnered through the gaming division based on the total outstanding population (sales of consoles for that year, sales of software for all consoles own...
Reading Microsoft quarterly report is all you need. Gaming revenue is up 44% Q1 2019. Last year they reached over $10.2 billion for 2018. Where as Sony with over twice the consoles base to feed on through software and services only had 66% more revenue for their gaming division . One would think that Sony would be closer to twice the revenue. The increasing revenue numbers being pulled in do to things like GP and specifically noted in their quarterly as one of the growing revenue strengths ...

As for PSNow smoking GamePass you must have been smoking a lot of something to have come to that delusional conclusion.
GamePass is half the price. Even with the limited deal PSNow has/had with cutting the price to be competitive it is very easy to find GP prices half of its $9.99 a month ($60/year not hard to find for GP). $20 a month for PSNow is just a ripoff to get what most people want to download games not stream PS3 games. If the case were th...
Of course EA thinks streaming and cloud will be important. They themselves are betting on it with Project Atlas, their cloud and streaming platform that uses AI & machine learning increase render graphics and object physics, and more realistically enhance NPC behaviors.
You could buy the iPad Pro (plus you need the pen and keyboard that add another $300) or you could buy the X with RDR2, Forza 7 + FH4 (all for $458) and have money left over to buy reasonably nice 50"+ 4K TV and add a PS4 Pro to the mix and all that would still be cheaper than the new base iPad Pro.
I don't see that happening for the reasons you think. Simply because Nintendo is notoriously much more strict than Sony or MS have been on this very issue.

Pale?
Gaming revenue for Xbox was $10.4 billion for the 2018 fiscal year for Microsoft
Gaming revenue at Nintendo for the whole company was $9.8 billion for 2018 fiscal year.
Gaming revenue for Sony was $17.3 billion for their 2018 fiscal year.
I am not the best at math (/s) but is 9.8 bigger or smaller than 10.6? Furthermore, if Sony has twice the number of consoles (or is it three times, I can't keep up with all the PS4 ...
I do hope they are pulling a Microsoft Hololens move (skipping 2 moving to 3) and not racking up a race to the bottom as this article implies. I doubt you should have any worries about Quest. That is part of this whole appeal to the masses plan. Looks like a device that is great for portability but, hardly making the leap in the overall gaming experience.
Perhaps, FB decided that Oculus 2 wasn't that big enough of a leap and would have been easily surpassed quite quic...
They are both public traded companies. All you have to do is pick off a few heavy investors and the rest will follow if the price is right. At this point, I think both companies are overvalued and Microsoft's large reserve of cash (160+ billion ) could be spent better elsewhere that is if they want better value at a much more reasonable price especially from a larger studio(s) if that is on Microsoft's mind. E.g. Zenimax (privately held but has a good relationship with Microsoft) or ...
Wrong! You don't keep repeating incorrect information. Germany regulating body (USK) has changed their policy on the full blanket ban of Nazi and Hitler references. And is allowing it for the German version of this game. They are now looking at games in the same way they do films, video, and art and have a much broader acceptance of such imagery.
Well, that "standard" has now been changed in Germany. Games in that country can show the swastika and even, shocker of shocker, Hitlers mustache if they want to. Wolfenstein has been cleared to allow any such images in the German sold version.
I don't see them giving you two copies ever. However, the original Xbox One plan was somewhat similar. When you installed a physical disc using the unique disc id the Xbox One system attached your game ownership with your account and gave you essentially a digital copy for you to use. You no longer needed to keep the disc in the drive after this happened. From then on you could access the game as you do with digital now: download it anywhere, use it on another Xbox where you were logged...
That sucks. I really was looking forward to the possibility of this happening. I play on the Xbox with several friends over the years and still do on occasion. I have a nephew on the PS4 that plays and it would have been great hooking up with him. And when this rumor first surfaced I made plans to buy the Switch version. Oh well, my nephew will have to be on his own, smashing and slashing, and I am official putting on hold my plans on getting the Switch version.
@kayoss
"0-day"
You all have a hard time reading don't you I said their own content. I never said WB or Disney movie day one on the service a service like Netflix, Netflix provides their own content (day one release). Even the couple of movies they have done in theaters are on the service day one, That is the point you seem to gloss over with Sony. In this case. Sony with PSnow will never be willing to do 0 days for their content. But, Microsoft will. Ag...
I am no fan of PSNow. I think 720p is an abysmal sacrifice for streaming PS4 games. However, as I often point to the lack of quality issues that service currently has that is an issue they can (most likely) fix. The biggest problem with PSNow itself may be the one thing that Microsoft is willing to do and something I don't see Sony ever willing to do and that is 0-day releases of their own games on the service. Forza Horizon 4 day one, or in the future games like Halo 4: Infinite releas...
For me this would be an example of why cross-play is great. I am not into Fortnite. However, I do love me a good smash session with friends on Diablo. I bought it on Xbox and several friends have it on Xbox and even to this day we play online together. My nephew has it on his PS4 and if cross-play comes there I can add him to the list of possible gamers and play with him. I also have Switch but wasn't going to buy it again and start over but, this may change my mind especially if it com...
