You mean $600 Canadian dollars right? ($445 US). Because there is no way in heck that either MS or Sony is going to release any console that expensive for mass consumption. If there is a PS5 bundle with a PSVR2. Sure that could be $600 US, if the console is itself, is $399.
@MetroidFREAK21
Nah.. it will be everywhere Microsoft gaming ecosystem is supported. It is the type of game that will sell that whole Play Anywhere ecosystem Microsoft is developing It is going to be on the PC and on the current gen. It will be streamed from the XCloud service and released on GP both on day one. Microsoft/343i will just make sure the best looking option to play will be shown on the Anaconda console. I think this game will exemplify that whole no boundaries to gaming...
If he has no copyright then even if he somehow gets one now, he will not be able to enforce it Ex Post Facto. In other words, you can't copyright something then enforce any offenses of that copyright that existed before you gained the copyright. You must also show due diligence that you have attempted to enforce said copyright against all known offenders or like a trademark you may lose the right to use that copyright exclusively.
Sure you do. Buy an actual Xbox console that is not is singularly purposed for streaming. Don't feign stupidity. At least there will be options for the buyer to chose from the Microsoft Xbox line; buy a different Xbox console. An example of no options is the PS4 Pro, a console billed as a 4K "capable" machine, that has no option to play actual 4KUHD discs (Sony doesn't sell a console option to do so - just fake 4K streaming - yuck!).
@Ciporta1980
It has happened "accidentally" because it was something built-into those games already. E.G. Epic built in cross-play from the ground up and was blocked by Sony. Same with others. Turning it on is not just a simple switch on a developers end of this equation that somehow makes a game cross-play. It is much easier from the console makers end though. Each of those games had backend developed for that already. You just don't turn it on; a game requires a fai...
@tagzskie
You mean like how Sony gets a free pass on requiring PSPlus for cloud saves and Microsoft has no a pay requirement for cloud saves and no storage limit either, that kind of free pass?
Well, I got a chance to put the time in it this past weekend (about 6 hours worth) and I was pleasantly surprised how well it played. There are some rough edges but, nothing that the Alpha wasn't designed to catch and are easily fixable in a few months time. The gameplay was pretty fluid and what aspects of the story you played were done well. I for one went from a maybe to definitely getting the game after my experience from the Alpha.
@Nitrowolf2
Well, the story is wrong. Private Division doses not make games they look for smaller independent and established developers and work with them to bring that companies game to market, -giving them the resources of a larger company like Take-Two can provide from their marketing and sales teams.
All TakeTwo's Private Division has is the publishing rights for this first game for this new IP. That is the one true fact that the story has right. This d...
Does anybody know the PlayAnywhere status of this game? It has been advertised as PlayAnywhere for quite a while but, t it is not available from the MS Store only Epic. It still shows as PlayAnywhere but not being sold for the PC by Microsoft does not make this true right now. Does anybody know if this a temporary deal with Epic and it will come to the Windows store later? I was going to buy the Xbox version but, I would like to play it also on my PC when the kids are using the console and h...
It won't be. Navi is still using GCN. Navi definitely will be a jump in power but, AMD is still using the same microarchitecture they have been using since 2011 (for Polaris and Vega) and it will be used again for Navi. Of course, GCN has been modified over the years but, it has limitations and issues that just updating it can't fix. Navi looks to be using the next iteration GCN The real change to AMD's graphics line will happen after Navi with a new completely different microa...
I am sure Epic probably gave them additional deals beyond their already low store fees. But, if you are developer and have a game to sell going forward you have to ask yourself would you like to only give 12% to the store like Epic charges no matter how few or many copies you sell there or have Steam take anywhere from 20 % to 30% depending on how copies you sell at Valves store. Plus if you use the Unreal 4 engine to develop your game you don't have to pay Epics 5% license fee for thos...
@LovSpuds Until you realize that the same thing applies to Sony studios as well. Are we going to ignore Sony has closed as many studios this decade as Microsoft?
The rumor that has been floating around for many months has been IO Interactive (Hitman) acquisition is in the works. Similar to how Obsidian rumor had been floating around months before it was announced (and all but expected when it was finally announced). So, I would not be surprised by IO Interactive being acquired.
As opposed to PS studios? Many active studios making games for Sony were not organically created but bought by Sony: Guerilla Games, Naughty Dog, Sucker Punch, Bend, Media Molecule. Other than Santa Monica (an actual internally built studio) who developed GOW aren't these very studios (once independent developers) the ones now making all the exclusives we have been parading around this gen as examples of what Microsoft should be doing? Was that weak of Sony to buy all these studios as w...
Naw! That is not the surprising part. Microsoft has been skirting around the lower 800's for months now. The surprising part is how much value Apple has lost in the past month. This past week this has happened twice. I suspect these companies will tit for tat most valuable trophy in the coming months. However, unless Apple starts to get stronger numbers elsewhere (e.g. services) and Microsoft's numbers decline I am sure Microsoft will continue to rise and be where Apple was just a few...
Qualcomm has a complete line of new chips specifically tied to VR/AR that will allow for a lot processing to be eased for portability. (The next HoloLens, for example, will be using them) Today with Oculus (although not extremely powerful) there is Oculus Go for $199. And next year Oculus has plans to release a more advanced (mid-range) VR self-contained headset codenamed Santa Cruz that will be cheaper than the current PC Powered Oculus (< $399). I think a self-contained PSVR2 is compl...
@Babadook7
Sony thinks the emulator works. The very emulator Sony is using in PS Classic is the ARM version of the open source project developed by enthusiasts for running PS games on the PC.
Q: Can I connect to PSN to download new games to PlayStation Classic?
PlayStation Classic is a plug and play offline experience, and as such cannot connect to the internet. There are no plans to bring new content or updates to PlayStation Classic post-launch.
Q: Can I buy extra games for the PlayStation Classic?
The PS Classic is preloaded with 20 of the best games from the original PlayStation. It is not p...
To be honest that makes a lot of sense. Thanks, I didn't even think about VR. Sony is 100% into VR going forward. Rumors of a wireless PSVR2 device, a self-contained option seem a logical extension and this would be an excellent delivery mechanism. Of course, there are questions about how it works overall but it would seem to be a good option for VR device that did not require a console for processing.
I just don't see another PSVita as the direction Sony wants to ...
