No. PSVR is their replacement. I don't think having three different systems (PS, PSVR, and a portable device) at the same time would a good thing as resources would be spread too thin. Like Microsoft's plans for XCloud, Sony will bring PSNow in full force to mobile devices in the coming year and in doing so this will give them a mobile presence (of some sort) all without having the expense of building special hardware and the need to provide new software.
@xX-oldboy-Xx
Over 24 million original Kinect devices were sold. Had an attachment rate of over 30% on the Xbox 360. The PSVR has an attachment rate of around 3%. I know several friends who have buyers remorse with their PSVR. They loved it first but, have very little desire to put it to use this past year. Only one person out those four has actually used his PSVR in the last six months.
Obviously 100% wrong on your part. And the judge pointed that out in this case. As did almost every lawyer (that was not an arm chair legal eagle like yourself).
There are also several types of dances and movements that cannot be protected by copyright. For example, individual movements or dance steps, or even a few movements or steps, by themselves are not copyrightable. This includes a “set of movements whereby a group of people spell out letters with their arms (eg. YM...
Are you implying that Fortnite can't do it without reimbursing somebody? If we take that logic. Didn't Alfonso Ribiero & the production of company Fresh Prince profit off copying (and did so admittedly) a Bruce Springsteen video? He got paid by the production didn't he for doing something blatantly similar. The production company got paid by NBC. NBC got paid by the ads. Everyone got paid from the Carlton dance being used on the show.
I don't think you will have to worry about any first-party game on GP ever leaving. Just like Netflix will never lose any of its original made content.
Edit: * By Netflix original I mean things they actually produce (e.g. Orange is the New Black, Ozark) not that pattern they have of buying up the rights to crappy (often foreign) series/movie then slapping Netflix Original on the side.
@IamTylerDurden1
A little exaggeration on the game hours. You are lucky if most are even half that playing time. Plus it is not like these games haven't been on the system for quite a while.
But, keeping with the leaving Netflix analogy. Don''t ignore that it is just as common to lose a whole TV series from Netflix. That could mean over 100 hours with certain series. If Friends leaves that is 10 years or 236 episodes or 133 hours, poof gone. A while ...
Giving the term journalist to anybody that writes about anything in the news is giving them way more credit then they deserve nowadays as well. Journalism has transgressed almost exclusively to opinion based & agenda focused rather than work of fact-based and verifiable journalism that in most cases it once was.
Really what exclusives does it have that were made in the last 3 or 4 years. I keep saying this but that is one of the biggest disappointments with PSNow, the lack of Sony's catalog of good exclusives, especially first-party. I thought the day I heard streaming of PS4 games would becomnig PSNow Uncharted 4 would be on the service no more than year later. But, no it never came. And I thought when they announced PS4 games could downloaded like G...
I agree PS4 BC is definitely happening. However, removing PS3 from PSPlus actually indicates (at least to me) that there will be no PS3 BC. Why remove that option if Sony were planning on having PS3 game BC in the PS5?
I also do think Sony will have to do something to replace in part the removal of these games. I, however, don't see Sony making a giant leap in the quality of games now that PSVita and PS3 will not be supported options (it just isn't the nature of ...
@annoyedgamer
"lack of news games"
Wow! I must have missed those PS4 games. Is there one I can play a paperboy and work my way to desk reporter to finally be the lead national anchor? That would be an awesome news game. Maybe a FoxNews vs CNN fighting game. Tucker vs Cuomo flight to the death.
I agree I think the fix for both system controllers would be for Microsoft to keep the same battery setup but include a rechargeable battery with each controller. And Sony should allow choice and make their battery easily replaceable( like the Xbox controller (both AA and large pack capable) but keep supplying a rechargeable battery with the DualShock. Problem solved. Each weakness in this particular area is solved.

"There are other options such as this one which was recommended on reddit: "
Do you know what I love about that battery? For being recommended on reddit it surely isn't very popular with the reviews. The one review (not dozens, or 100s, the only review it has) says how great it works on the PS4. But, the actual description says the batterie's connector is incompatible with the PS4. So which is it? Do I have to take apart the battery connec...
Question:Do the all the other characters have bios about their sexual likes? Or is just the ones that are singled out as LGBTQ? If not, couldn't they all be LGBTQ just as it just as likely as heterosexual if their bio doesn't say anything? I just don't see how this type of info makes a game better other than pandering to a group. Do we know which ones are Trump supporters and which ones are alt-left from the bios? Maybe they should add that as well so we can pick the right chara...
@awdevoftw
You bought one EA game used. So? Tell that to the 11+ million people on the PS4 that bought FIFA 18 or the 3+ million PS4 owners that bought Madden 18. I am sure there is a large audience for EA Access games on the PS4.
Yet the catalog on EA Access if quite up to date (games arrive within a year of release). Compared to PSNow with PS4 games that were released in the last 2 years is almost unheard of; you mostly get 3+ year old games. Let us not pretend EA games don't sell; FIFA 18 (which is in EA Access) on the PS4 alone sold over 11 million copies.
PSNow doesn't even support MLB from Sony's own studio. How hard is it to throw a bone of MLB 2017 to PSNow (MLB 2019 is upon us i...
Why? EA is making their own streaming service. I assume if it is a tit-for-tat move was then maybe it would include allowing EA's streaming service access to PS ecosystem in the future as well. Then again PSNow isn't exactly a catalog full of the most recent games. So whatever they have access to would be older content, maybe streaming only. Contrast that with EA Access. It contains almost every game they release often about a 12 months later.
