Gamer's game, leave the numbers to the accountants

The Kinect features are great if you just want to keep up with the action and not pause the game to switch everyone's weapons or pick abilities. I have played the game with and without the Kinect and I actually feel the time with the Kinect flowed better as a game.

To those thinking you have to scream or something, it's not like that, you just use a regular voice and it picks it up every time and executes the commands.

This is an excellent option to...

People just like to think that every Microsoft exclusive isn't going to stay that way. I think Microsoft needs games like Alan Wake, right now it's an intermediate success, but the possibilities are endless.

I already knew it was staying with Microsoft as a franchise because I saw reports like this a couple of years ago, Microsoft paid to publish 3 full Alan Wake games. It's probably a pretty profitable deal with Remedy, sort of like with Epic Games and Gears Of W...

Just a quick question, but why would you want to get Mass Effect 3 on the PS3 if you played through the first two on the Xbox 360?

To me, if you haven't imported your saves from the first two games, your missing out on a lot. I was just kind of curious as to what the thinking was.

I am truly a believer in the Kinect functionality with Mass Effect 3, it works perfectly. I had no issues and I actually found that it worked better for the type of gamer I am, I didn't have to pause the action or anything. Brilliant demo.

You make a great game and people will buy it. Skyrim was my personal favorite game of 2011, but I think Batman Arkham City was a close second. Glad to see something other then a shooter was number one.

I don't own a 3D-TV, so I guess I'll just have to play it on my 50 inch led in regular 2-D.
Looks like a great game either way.

I would also say that the ability to play in 3-D on the PS3 version doesn't make the actual game any better then any other version.

Actually Alan Wake has sold almost 1.5 million copies. Not to mention that it was the second most pirated game with almost 3 million copies pirated.

Microsoft agreed to pay for 3 full Alan Wake titles, it was originally going to be on the PS3 and PC, but when Microsoft paid for the rights they own the rights to publish for consoles.

Because they paid so much money for those rights, it means Remedy actually made money on the game before it was ever released. ...

I just don't feel the drive to play some games without some sort of Achievement system. It's like a validation of sorts. I'm not as anal as some people I know, but lack of Achievements will definitely keep me from replaying games or investing too much time into a game with no payoff.

Remedy had to limit the story because this is a arcade title and your only allowed to make those so big. I enjoyed the story elements most of all on the original Alan Wake, but I am happy about the buzz Alan Wake is getting now as opposed to the first full game.

Hopefully this is just tiding us over until a full retail release of Alan Wake 2 on either the 360 or the 720.

I don't think many people look at it that way. There are a few games that are "Better with Kinect" that make it worth owning, Child Of Eden, Forza 4, Halo CEA, Mass Effect 3 and Ghost Recon.

The implementation of Kinect is just a little something extra. There are different reasons to own one, I know a couple of people who own one just for the voice commands/gestures on the dash and media functions.

So I guess it's all in the eye of the beh...

I said this on another article about this game getting a score of 7. I believe 7 is a solid score, it's a handheld game and it's not made by Naughty Dog. It still is going to be a game I'll pick up when I can buy a Vita.

I think people that review this game probably compare it to it's console brethren and that is unfortunate.

I like Nintendo and I hope they can offer a competitive online service, I think they are suffering a bit from the Gamecube. I can still remember Nintendo saying "People don't want to play online" and then they made those pushes for people to hook up Gameboys to their Gamecubes and things like that.

Then later on they came out and said they couldn't afford to do a online network like Microsoft. I personally wouldn't mind if they offered a service a bit li...

Getting pumped up for Alan Wake! I think this arcade game is getting a lot more press and hype then the first actual game did. I always said that sequels often find the niche for a lot of games. Sort of like Sonic 2 was the better game that garnered all the praise. Same with Uncharted 2, Batman Arkham City ect...

I know this isn't the sequel, more like the Case Zero of Dead Rising, but I think this is an important litmus test for the franchise.

Microsoft ...

I love Gamerscore, it was a whole new obsession when I got my Xbox 360 in 2005. I am not one of those people who tries to get all 1000 or all that is available on every game, but I prefer to get at least 400-600 and without having to use a walkthrough to figure out what Achievements I missed.

I prefer Gamerscore, mostly because I like seeing "Achievement Unlocked 100" or whatever the score might be. I think Microsoft had a clear plan from the start and implemented ...

I said "I wasn't getting the next one" every single time since COD4 and then WaW. Everyone says it. I said it after MW3, but then the next one releases and everyone buys it anyway.

Also, I'm a competitive gamer, there isn't another game as competitive on Gamebattles and with tournaments like the COD games. There are literally 20+ thousand MW3 teams on Gamebattles.com

You might see a few hundred here or there with other games, but COD is ...

How exactly is Call Of Duty dying? I think this might be one of the only times when a game can sell over 20 million copies and we can say it's "dying".

Modern Warfare 3 outsold Black Ops the opening day and was the biggest game of 2011. It's still in the top 5 and will probably be top 20 all year. There are over 1 million people on Xbox Live right now playing it, almost 2 million if you add up Black Ops and Modern Warfare 2.

I enjoyed Battl...

I know people here seem angry about this, but to me I think people are just wanting Sony to make more exclusives so that they can brag about them without actually buying them.

I bought a handful of Sony exclusives last year (LBP2, U3, R3 and KZ3), the others didn't really interest me. I know Sony probably had a ton more that I cant even remember, but I think that is the problem.

Sony cant go on making all of these exclusives that nobody is buying. Right a...

I don't see why people care what score the game gets? Is a 7 going to stop you from buying the game or enjoying it? It shouldn't, I mean we all have our own tastes and likes.

People see "Uncharted" and associate Naughty Dog with the game. This game is a handheld game, usually handhelds don't have the same quality as console games. They might have compared this game to the other Uncharted games, and lets face it, nothing is going to compare to those cons...

You cant remember back to last November when Halo CE Anniversary came out? Or September 2011 when Gears Of War 3 launched? Or even in October of 2011 when Forza Motorsport 4 launched? You might want to have that checked bro, short term memory loss isn't something to mess around with.

On topic, this is a XBLA title that "Might" go to physical retail. It's been in development since 2009, so I would doubt that it has any Kinect involvement. Who knows though? Th...

It makes sense as to why he is leaving, but I think it's pretty poor timing with the release of Twisted Metal just days away.

Interesting that he brought up his deal with Sony, wonder if he is going to go the way of Insomniac?
