Recent? When did it last go "down"? The last time I couldn't get on PSN was 2 Christmases ago, and I wouldn't call that recent.
Europe don't hate all things American, where did you hear that?
The only reason the Xbox brand never really challenged the PS brand in the EU is simply because MS don't care about the EU, outside of the UK, and most here just look at it as the American box for Americans. Also branding half of Europe as second tier countries didn't help.
I think the main issue with it in the beta, is that the point of turning rogue, is to steal other players loot, but you don't really have any chance to. When there's a lot more of the extraction zone to spread out players, it'll work better, but in the beta it does seem kinda pointless going rogue, as everyone will just shoot you the second you do and there's usually at least 4 people at an extraction zone.

The PS4 most likely averages 1 million a month WW. If you ignore the Holiday sales (why you would, I don't know), the US probably averages 170-300k a month on it's own.

Yeah, I'm guessing Sony were just pumping cash into them and their new owners had to steady the ship. Well, anyways, seems they are finally starting to get back on track, hopefully they re-hire and get Everquest Next going again.

No you don't, you just have an open area to travel through to get to your next mission, some areas have a few optional areas you can go to, but you still always do the levels in the same order.
A few people having issues, doesn't mean PSN is down.
It's working fine on my end and their status page is saying everything is fine. Anyways hopefully those who are affected get it sorted out.

In what way is DF analysis (not a review) "uneducated criticism"? Is there not literally minutes of footage backing everything they say up?
If you charge to access, you are open to criticism, DF aren't giving it a score, or saying you shouldn't buy it, they are just giving people information on the state of the game, and leaving the decision up to them, if they should pay to access it.
Hopefully they keep up with any updates...

I have no problem with them testing unfinished builds of games, sure in a few days/weeks/months it's pointless, but it can point a dev in the right direction for what needs work.
I do have a problem with devs and consumers deflecting any criticism to an early access game, with "it's not finished yet, so don't criticize it", especially when way too many early access games just release unfinished anyway.

It definitely isn't "perfectly fine", with high end PCs struggling to hit a consistent 30+ FPS on high settings.

Because they charge money for it. Why is it acceptable to charge someone to beta test your game, is a better question.
That just means you're platform is excluded, not that it's exclusive to PS4 or PC. Do we consider every game that's on PS4, XB1 and PC, but not on Wii U exclusive?
I'm trying to think of even 1 decent side mission in either TR and RoTTR, and can't, most are just go kill/get this thing.
All that the open area is used for is to pad the time (which it doesn't need as RoTTR took me about 18 hours just doing the story and all the tombs) with pointless collectables and to give you items to upgrade your stuff, which you don't need to do as the bow is better than everything else.
I hope Uncharted never has that and future TR ga...
