its an official publication, nothing to see here.
i take all xbox/playstation/nintento OFFICIAL publication reviews with a grain of salt, they mean nothing.
eh, i thoroughly enjoyed it.
yes, it had its problems, but what did it for me was the immersion. you really felt like you were in one of the movies of the respective franchises. and multiplayer, when you could get a room with decent ping and people who knew what they were doing, was great. i loved stalking people with the alien, hiding in the shadows and seeing them turn around when their motion sensor goes off only for me to stop and disappear again, then when they turn arou...
and that, everybody, is how you completely screw up a competition lol.
great idea, horrible, horrible execution.
what i find funniest is that all the PS3 fanboys have been spouting 'lens of lies' and 'theyre 360 fanboys' for months and months (if not years) about lens of truth, yet as soon as this article comes out they all praise them and say that theyre experts and they know what theyre talking about lol.
ive got both, and i give the nod to Crysis 2 graphically. thats not to say Killzone doesnt look good - it does. yes, it may run at 0.2 of a frame per second faster, a...
its not really that impressive, seeing as though Wipeout HD is just that - Wipeout from the original Playstation, in HD. there would be problems if it COULDNT run wipeout HD.
look, its all well and good for a developer to say they 'only used 50% of the power of the PS3' (which is a completely useless and irrelevant thing to say, but thats been discussed a million times before), but it doesnt really make sense for them to say it when their game cant maintain a steady framerate to save itself.
God of War 3, as good as it is, runs anywhere between 25fps and 60fps. its NEVER constantly 60fps for more than a few seconds, and as soon as enemies ...
pretty misleading article if you ask me. read the last paragraph:
"In other words, Class3 runs on your Xbox 360 and supports 1-2 players via Xbox LIVE or on the same screen, while Class4 will provide a much larger server-hosted world for thousands of simultaneous players."
Class3 is the codename for this XBLA game theyre currently making. Class4 is what they want to do after that.
so its a 1-2 player third person zombie survival gam...
if only i was a woman, id have this record instead of her lol. my highest is just shy of 800k, so a few more thousand than her 789k.
pretty funny that a record for a video game, something that has absolutely no advantage for either gender, has different gender records. its not like 100m sprinting where males are genetically superior at it.......its pressing buttons on a controller lol.
"right now GG is only making Game's for the PS3 right now.
the reason why because the game engine's are designed for Sony's PS3 and not designed as a Multi-platform game engine. "
no, the reason why is because Guerrilla Games are 100% owned by Sony lol.
Killzone does nothing that the 360 cant do. if GG werent owned by Sony, Killzone would be on the 360 and would look exactly the same as it does on the PS3 now.

Ummm these numbers go against sonys officially released numbers earlier today......which is it, 12 mil or 15 mil? A few hours ago it was only 12 mil.
Wow, the beta is incredibly good. HUGE improvement over killzone 2 in basically every way. And theres no input lag!!!!
Graphically it's not as realistic looking or 'sharp' as crysis 2 on 360, but it's a lot more 'gritty' so I guess it comes down to preference. Has a fair bit of aliasing, but the level design doesn't help that.
Was having problems connecting to the servers for about half an hour, but going great now.
anyone who thinks Rock Band has gotten 'stale' or 'died' needs to get their hands on RB3 with Green Day Rock Band, Lego Rock Band, Rock Band 1 and Rock Band 2 all exported, along with the Pro Guitar and Pro Drum Kit.
it seriously is just incredible fun if you have ever had any interest in learning drums or guitar. i had to import both the pro instruments since they arent getting released in australia, and after paying close to $600 for them i still feel that i...
lol @ people who dont read and comprehend the article.
yes, they say the 360 is holding them back. but they also indirectly say that the PS3 is holding them back - theyre not just talking about the 360. they say that ALL fixed hardware configurations hold developers back, which they do. if you have 128GB of RAM available, youll use all that and then want more because that 128GB isnt enough. if you have a quad core 4ghz processor, youll stretch that to its limits and want a fa...
lol
so he found a no-clipping GLITCH and uses that as his whole basis for how the entire multiplayer portion of it will fail? epic lol.
its a demo/beta. the ENTIRE purpose of it is to find bugs/glitches like this lol.
i also have to laugh how he says 'shooting a person feels the same as shooting air'.........umm news flash: when you shoot a gun you dont feel the impact of the bullet at its destination. in real life, shooting at a hum...
i bought them as hey, its only $15. being an adult with a good job, $15 for 4 maps in a game that ill no doubt play for 200+ hours over the next 6 months is good value.
the maps themselves are fantastic, probably better than most it shipped with (not that theyre bad).
ive had no problems whatsoever, so the demo obviously isnt broken.
ive played dozens of games, racked up 100k+ XP, and am in the top few thousand on the leaderboards. has never frozen on me or dropped connection.
if its not working for you chances are its something to do with your setup. the main reason its supposedly not working for most people in this thread is probably because they dont have a 360 to play it on, if you get my drift.
the thing about Move + Tennis games is that while it could be great for a while, its not long before you run into problems. what happens when you want to do a two handed backhand? what happens if you need to hit the ball with your left hand? you cant do that with Move, as you need to have the navigation controller in your left hand and Move controller in your right.
i would never play a top spin or virtua tennis game with motion controls. controller all the way.
very impressive, might make me buy Resistance 3 after skipping the dreadful Resistance 2.
i do have to say though, as good as it looks, im a bit disappointed that they seemingly have just copied killzone 2s graphical style to a T.
thats all well and good, but youre missing out on actually playing the game for 6+ months that you couldve been. with lots of online games, thats basically a death sentence - youll go to play online and itll be a ghost town, meaning you saved money but miss half the experience.
just like with everything else, you pay more to get things on launch.........but you get the thing NOW. i cant even imagine waiting 6 months to buy a game i wanna play just so i save a few bucks on dlc...
the main thing that i find hilariously funny in any discussion about 1080p is that most people that play their games in 1080p dont realise that from the distance that they sit from the TV, the human eye literally cannot detect any difference between native 720p and native 1080p. its not a 'oh but i can see a difference, even though you might not be able to' - its scientific fact. its like how the human eye can only detect up to a certain pixel density, theres no point going higher tha...
