"Sounds like that there Madden, but you don't see them crap all over that"
lol
Madden is a representation of a real life sport. believe it or not, most sports dont change too much year to year other than roster changes. Madden stays relatively stagnant because once theyve got something to where it should be, like having a good physics engine, then theres not much more to do with that aspect of the game.
Dynasty Warriors, however...
GT5 could sell 100 million copies, doesnt make it any less of a disappointment or the worst game in the entire series.
wow, didnt know so many people on here actually liked Dynasty Warriors lol.
apart from the first game in the series, theyve all been pretty much the same old repetitive button masher with generic graphics.
Dynasty Warriors 2 wowed people by being the first game to really show that the 'next gen' (the PS2) was able to render hundreds of characters on-screen at once, but apart from that it was a largely forgettable experience. since then, not much has c...
for all this talk of exclusives, i bet most of the people heres game collections are made up of about 90% multiplatforms and 10% (at the very most) exclusives.
i only own exclusives on my PS3, and i buy all the big exclusives on the 360, yet the number of those PS3 and 360 exclusives combined is less than the amount of multiplats i buy for the 360 in any given year. honestly, i wouldnt care if there was never another exclusive on the 360 - i buy all my multiplatforms on it, i...

Senior Producer for Guerilla Games Steven Ter Heide: ""Controls are very important and have been quite the challenge," he says. "There still is some confusion about the ‘weighty’ feel and lag. Those two things are different. We removed the lag completely. This means that when you press a butt...
people like you are confusing "weighty controls" with INPUT LAG.
Killzone 3 has the exact same "weighty" controls that Killzone 2 has - the only difference is it now doesnt take 200ms between pressing a button and having the action occur on-screen. they removed the extra 60-70ms of input lag that a 30fps shooter shouldnt have in the first place, which as Guerilla Games even said was a TECHNICAL PROBLEM and NOT a design choice in Killzone 2.
lol
a few things:
- it couldnt be blu-ray. how do you guys think that the people who get in to the preview program would manage to run a blu-ray disc on their current 360? theyre not given new 360s lol, they just get to update their console to the new beta firmware. you cant just create a blu-ray reader out of software updates.
- microsoft wouldnt have any problem paying licensing to get blu-ray for their next console. they pay licensing for ...
"The most forefront thing in my mind though, is the incorporation of Steam on the PS3. Portal 2 will be the first game to get the cross-platform treatment; is there any doubt as to which console the game will sell most on?"
firstly, Steam is not being incorporated into the PS3. steamWORKS is - big difference.
secondly, yes, there is doubt as to which console will sell more copies of Portal 2 - remember, portal released on XBLA on the 360, not just...
theres no time limits for too soon - if the sequel justifies its release by being significantly different and as good or better than the previous game then i dont care if it comes out only 6 months after the previous game. i just care about the game, not how long it took or how quick its development was. but if it took 3+ years then it had better be good.
youre missing the whole point of kinect if you think it was ever made to be the best way to play "core" games though.
Kinect is about bringing in the social crowd. believe it or not, the 'hardcore' gamers arent the most lucrative market, nor the biggest. thats the social gamers, and thats who kinect is aimed at.
if you bought Kinect expecting to play the next Gears of War without a controller, the jokes on you. you wouldnt buy Move expectin...
"as I predicted Kinect’s success about half a year ago"
anyone that wasnt a complete moron could see that kinect would be a success lol. if this guy thinks hes some sort of genius for "predicting" that, hes got problems.
on topic, i see no negatives in releasing a controller for kinect to go along with full body motion control. PS3 fanboys will though lol.
chances are this is just a change in how the data is stored on the disc, most likely freeing upsome of the ~2gb thats reserved for Security measures etc.
shouldve been done years ago, since the security doesnt seem to work lol. not that itll make a difference, most games only take up 4-5gb of the disc anyway, even the biggest games of the generation.
after 5 God of War games that are all pretty much the same, i dont want another God of War game unless it significantly changes things up.
no, im not looking for an arcade racer at all. i want a game that gives me the same sort of experience that i get when i take my 200kw @ all 4 wheels car to the local racetrack and hammer out a few laps. GT5 doesnt give this at all. Shift 1 was the closest to that experience up until now, and Shift 2 with its helmet cam looks to have one-upped it considerably.
and before you go on and on about GT5 being super realistic, please, ive heard it all before. i own the game, ive bee...
if youre going to make stupid comments like that, allow me to make some about GT5:
Enjoy understeering with a 300kw RWD Turbo car.
Enjoy hitting a wall head on at 250km/h, hearing someone drop a small bag of sand, then driving off with a teeny tiny dent on your bonnet.
Enjoy not being able to do a burnout/doughie on takeoff in a 300kw RWD Turbo car.
Enjoy having the AI zoom past you despite you being at full throttle in a car with 100kw more power, les...

PS3 definitely has the edge in Anti-Aliasing out of the console versions, and everything else looks the same, so without seeing a framerate/tearing comparison id give the win to the PS3.
look, the fact is that Killzone 2s input lag killed any chances of Killzone 3 for a LOT of people. that is just 100% fact. if i didnt read up on videogames on the internet, and didnt know that they removed the 200ms of input lag from the controls, i would not have bought Killzone 3. thats how big of a mistake that input lag was.
note im not talking about the WEIGHT of the controls, im only talking about the 200ms delay from when you press ANY button on the controller, even on...
wow there are some seriously stupid comments in here lol.
"MAG has 256", "Resistance has 60", blah blah blah - that makes no difference. this is battlefield 3, not MAG or Resistance. remember, everything that happens in an online game has to be kept track of. you shoot down a single tree in the forest in Battlefield? that data has to get sent to every single player so the tree falls over on their console. shoot a rocket at a building? same deal, every play...
its funny watching the PS3 fanboys tell everyone who says that mandatory installs are bad to go out and buy a 500gb HDD for $60, yet then they go and troll all the 360 articles about how you have to pay for Live lol. they have no problem having to buy a bigger HDD to even play a game to begin with, but the world is ending when they have to pay less than that to play all games online on a superior online system lol.
the original shift was only something like 4gb in total, so i...
people seem to forget that Crysis looked so amazing because of the setting. when done right, a jungle/beach/mountains are some of the most beautiful settings you can get.
Crysis 2 isnt set in a jungle. its set in New York City. that right there takes away a lot of the opportunities for amazing graphics.
