a few guns actually *do* have aiming down the sights in Halo. the rest dont need it. you do realise that the 'zoom' and ADS in most games, Uncharted included, is completely unrealistic dont you? when you take a gun that doesnt have a scope attached and put it up to your shoulder so you can aim down...

in a year where ive gotten Gears of War 3, Forza 4, Skyrim, and Battlefield 3, I dont care which game wins meaningless game of the year awards. all i know is that I win because i get to play them all.

why is anyone surprised? Naughty Dog are the KINGS of bullshots. super high res + higher LOD models + higher resolution textures + 16xMSAA + downsampled to 1280x720 = "in game" screenshot lol.
they did it for uncharted, they did it for uncharted 2, and they did it again for uncharted 3. seems they didnt fool as many people with 3 as they did with 2.

Halo 3 received like 12 multiplayer maps for free, along with dozens of new multiplayer match types and playlists over the years. GT5 has had 1 worthwhile patch, 1 good track as DLC, and 12 crappy DLC cars that are all already in the game, just race modified.
Halo 3s support absolutely $hits all over GT5...

the rumoured 'pared down' version would be more like a set top box, not a gaming console. the regular version would be a gaming console like the 360.
the pared down version would NOT be used to play your gears of war/battlefield/halo etc. it would be to stream media from your network, watch netflix/zune movies and music, and possibly to play kinect games.

Quantity of First Party Exclusives means very little to anyone other than fanboys in the real world. Quality is much more important.
for all the PS3 exclusives that are released, if you look at the top 50 games for each console on Metacritic, the PS3 only has something like 1 more exclusive in the top 50 than the 360 does (there was an article about it the other day actually).

its a very worthy GOTY nominee - metacritic rating of 91/100, unanimous universal acclaim from reviewers, as well as being the second highest rating racing game of the generation (second only to Forza 3, even though 4 is a better game in every way imaginable).

the xbox 360 was called the 360 because 360 degrees represents a circle. the circle stood for how everything on the new xbox all fits together in one integrated package - live, games, friends, videos, etc. - and that the gamer is at the centre of this circle. (that is straight from microsoft btw)
for that reason alone, 720 makes no sense. 720 is just 2 circles in the same spot. the next xbox will NOT be named the xbox 720, or xbox 3...

these screens are captured DIRECTLY from the PS3 and 360. the TV doesnt EVER come into it. they do this SPECIFICALLY to eliminate any difference that TVs can cause, as no 2 tvs will give the same picture.

ever since about the second year of the 360 ive maintained end of 2012 at the latest for the next generation, and thats going to be true with the wii-U coming out and then most likely the 360s successor.
