So what if they get a sales boost? As another article pointed out, it is likely that many consumers are concerned about the banning without fully understanding it and decides to move over to buy a PS3. Maybe I should write a two paragraph article on that without providing any useful deduction?
@CimmerianDrake:
That cartoon is d@mn funny!
Why is the focus on GameStop, when the mom and pop shops are held to a different standard than say the chain stores? Aren't they (mom and pop shops) getting an unfair advantage?
Sure GS is snitching, but they are just leveling the playing field. If you don't want it known, don't do it! In the end, the managers at GS still have their quota of games to sell and it is plain unfair.
I understand people want MW2 early and the hate for GS, but don't have double standards!!...
It seems no matter what that Nintendo has eaten out of Sony's plate and so have MS. In addition, Nintendo has access to another buffet, the casuals.
So we got MS and Sony fighting for the smaller hardcore market.
The positive for MS, they now have a serious brand recognition closer to Sony. Sony already has the brand recognition, but has lost it's edge and is now remembered as the fallen.
So as it stands, I hope both MS and Sony's focus on casuals will ...
I can say that Michigan is nice, but there is freaken nothing here!
The people are extremely laid back. In fact so laid back that the first time I got here, I drove 5 mph below the speed limit since I didn't know where I was going and driving a big @ss rental car. What ya know, not a single honk, nobody passing me up and to top it off, the guy behind me drove 2-3 car lengths behind me the whole freaken time!
The issue I do see though is, the people here are very simi...
This is what I hoped the 360 version of facebook would include. Pretty cool, although, I don't use FB!
From the article regarding Wolfenstein:
Complete quote from the article:
"Performance wise both games seem to be running at around 30 fps. When things get hectic the FPS would rarely drop on the Xbox 360, but that is when the dreaded frame tears would appear. Almost every time you would fire a weapon a screen tear would result. However the PlayStation 3 was completely opposite. We never once saw a frame tear on the PlayStation 3, however we did notice that the frame ra...
the only two factors that matter is:
a) frame rates
b) visible annoying graphics defects
Assassin's Creed 2 had b) with annoying screen tearing. Modern Warfare 2 had a), slower frame rates. I think it is safe to say that Lens of Truth did a good job on those analysis.
Those two issues are significant in my opinion as I can live with poor lighting or even low textures, but I will be annoyed by frame rate issues and graphical defects such as screen ...
Why? Because they would start stealing features from each other, instead of focusing on what makes their own game great.
Furthermore, IW might have gotten the jealousy going since their beloved child (CoD series) is being handled by another studio.
Furthermore, I think Robert Bowlings comment towards Treyarch was uncalled for and believe Treyarch was just trying to build up hype for their game.
If you rely on FREE all your life, your life will be pretty bland!
I got console consfused with Xbox/PS3. I guess I read n4g too much!
Console also means command line prompt (or similarly way to type in commands), which I use every day! lol....
I firmly believe as many has pointed out, MS and Sony counts what country belong to Europe differently and report numbers differently. Hence the discretion, not to mention either one of them could be lying. However, I highly doubt it anyone lied since these numbers aren't that useful for shareholders even if you boost it about a 1-2 million extra.
doesn't MS and Sony count Europe differently? If so, then the numbers they both cite might very well be correct.
Company representatives are obligated to shareholders to report factual and correct information.
To me it sounds like the PC version, but console version is mentioned.
Many of the issues with the PC version existed in the console version and nobody spoke a peep. The bar was set really low. Hopefully we will get a better game that supports dedicated server on console and PC that will outdo CoD:MW2... but until then nothing will change even with another petition.
Is it so bad to copy and paste? As long as it is more useful, I don't care. People say, oh my MS copied this and that, but in my eyes they made it more useful.
I remember when we had to learn each application separately and MS introduced one interface across all applications i.e. MS Office. Suddenly, I could use almost 4-5 common applications by just learning one!
They introduced a Common Language Runtime (CLR) which is awesome and I must say that C# is excellent and...
I want to add that Facebook, Twitter and last.fm experience on Xbox Live is very different than just using a browser. It is fairly well integrated and the only things I wish, was that last.fm and twitter are integrated into the dash. Of the new features, I love last.fm!!!
Keep in mind that Xbox has introduced a lot of features that Sony is following in the footsteps. In online gaming on consoles:
- Sony is a follower
- Microsoft is a leader
- Nintendo, er...
I remmeber the Major Gaming League ads in Rainbow Six Vegas and it did NOT fit in!
Your link does NOT work.
How about getting the frame rate of the PS3 version to match the 360?
If load time is such an issue, then give the option of installing the whole game onto the hard drive. There, problem solved!
