"So, overall the performance gap has dropped, but if you've got the choice, the Xbox 360 offers a sharper picture, smoother performance, lower levels of screen-tear and faster loading, and it doesn't require PS3's 1.5GB mandatory install either. This is not to say that the 360 version doesn't have its faults, and the fact that the technical issues of its two-year-old predecessor haven't been addressed is probably my biggest disappointment with the game: quite apart from the tearing, the ...

Come on Sony, you know better than to do that. Even MS don't collect personal information when sending error reports in Windows. So why are you?

None the less, props for a feature intended to improve PS3!

Charging for "apps" that have no gaming related functionality will probably alienate most of their current customers. That is hardly a large enough market to enter...

I surmise that if Sony had the chance again, they would have charged for PSN and followed MS model. The fact that they didn't is just a sign of poor management unable to maximize profits. After all, MS showed that they could profit from it. Instead Sony launched an overpriced console!

I guess ...

They should have allowed you to filter out the trohpies you want published as well as may filter it by level i.e platinum or gold etc. So you don't spam people.

In fact, I considered this idea for my own social networking site for gamers, but never got around to finish this.

It's funny how the biggest practically admitted Sony fanboy at IGN is being called a fanboy for criticizing Sony. I guess, you are a 360 fanboy if you have any "remotely" even negative...

I mean, to most hardcore gamers, motion control with the Wii pretty much let the m down. Casuals will see no reason to buy a PS3, when the Wii is already so popular. It's not like the cared about graphics in the first place considering they flock to the Wii like crazy.

I sure hope it does well though, but the Eye Toy has shown that Sony's support on peripherals is weak.

However, that is risky since casuals don't buy as many games!

after all, it might cost them quite a bit of money to put up the infrastracture. We have all heard how Sony funds their PSN by charging for DLC to the developers. I think it is a good thing that MS tries other avenues for funding, otherwise MS might see fit to raise their fees as maintenance cost continues to rise.

Right now, Gold subscribers subsidize for Silver members.

The biggest issue I see with people complaining is their complete lack of understanding how econ...

Do you think, when millions of dollars is on the line they aren't making sure it is reliable?

You might have a few bad Apples, but the entire basket? I don't think so.

The writer seriously need some help with grammer and forming proper sentences.

Before any spews out, you need to do so as well... I'm not writing a blog or an article. If I did, I would put more effort into writing proper English!

I think on the surface they all look the same, but in reality under the hood I'm sure there are major differences on how the software can pick up your gestures.

Most people would say, Mac OSX, Windows Vista and Linux are all the same. After all, they are there to do pretty much the same thing, but underneath they are very differently designed and very much behaves so.

Unlike the Wii, Natal actually has more input options.

I'm looking forward to see what they can do with Natal. This technology has been researched on for a long time by many people and companies. The question is, is there a company that will be able to push the product out and make it mainstream or are we going to get an "eye toy" push i.e. weak support.

If anything, I think MS understands how to support and market a product!

I said it before and say it again, the game had significant frame rate issues and the control was fairly unresponsive. The gameplay mechanic was for the most part barely average.

There are plenty of other PS3 exclusives that was far better. I think the game could have been so much better given time to polish it, because it had potential, but felt rushed.

On the flip side, if I was a thief (yes, that is what pirates are), I would hardly want my name listed on legal documents essentially admitting to it. Besides, the Xbox Live agreement states that they can ban you anytime you violate their terms. Instead, they actually still allow you to use your gamertag online on a different Xbox.

Just be happy MS didn't pull a music industry on you and sue your @ss!!!

SO there is no suprise it isn't on the list. Games should focus more on gameplay than hype and graphics. KZ2 did get nomitated for other stuff though.

Kind of wish I didn't spend money on KZ2, especially since there are so many other good games coming.

Glad I didn't buy an over priced PSP Go. If you intend to buy a PSP, buy the regular one. It is cheaper, games come out day and date on disc, you can snap up used games on the bargain and re-sell your games!

A takeover is highly unlikely considering the amount of money needed. ATVI is worth $15 billion, while ERTS (EA) is only worth $6 billion. Sony or MS taking it over is not a sound business model, since practically all the IP will be turned into exclusives which kills it's value.

Selling $20 million worth of shares is a drop in the sea and barely affected the share price. ATVI last I checked was full of cash and their products are selling well, not to mention the latest inclusion ...

By the mere fact that you play CoD you support Activision. How else are they going to boost their stats and increase their brand recognition.

Only way is to play offline while borrowing the game from a friend.

Buying used still supports Activision indirectly so don't be a hypocrite and outright stop playing it.

Me, I don't care and bought it first day!

There hasn't been a piece of gaming technology that has excited me this much in a long time and seeing developers excitement just fuels that.

I think hardcore gamers will embrace this given the right experience.
