I don't know what the PS3 version of Netflix does as I think it is coded by Netflix, but the 360 version is done by MS. It shouldn't be bouncing around on the quality too much as it implements an inreasing backoff period to avoid this "ping ponging" between different stream qualities.

that HD is underwhelming when it comes to movies. Is it sharper? yes! More detail? Yes. Does it significantly add to the experience? No.
However, with Netflix, viewing an HD stream really does make a difference because the compression artifacts aren't as visible. Going to HD from SD on netflix is like going from VHS tapes to DVD. I doubt going much up in quality would matter to most though....

EA took a lot of risks with niche IPs. However, I think Dead Space will be a great new IP which I think apeals to a wider audience than Mirror's Edge or Brutal Legend.

I think because 3D is overrated. Went to see Avatar in 3D and it was a great experience, but frankly it didn't look so good. Imagine a game....
I think 3D is probably not ready for prime time, but I'm glad someone is pushing it.
