"So now I'm scatching my head why someone would complain about a good deal for consumers." -DIRTYHAIRYJOYSTICK
Because a business that is in the red (loses money) won't last long and will eventually go bankrupt. Competition is better for consumers than a short term deal!
The good news is that both Sony and especially MS (at this stage) is investing into the brand. Sony had the brand and now lost it, but MS is gaining recognition.
Both though h...
I love it when people blame stuff on other people like a spoiled child instead of admitting that they are at fault.
Perhaps, you should complain that Sony created a console that is much more difficult to develop for that they assumed would dominate the industry and developers would have no choice. Unfortunately for them, there is two other choices with larger install bases.....
At this point, I would even say that the Xbox 360 version is held back to reach parity be...
If it is in addition, and bundled with the console then fine, but the "de-facto" standard controller?
I hope not, because even on the Wii there are only a handful of games worth playing with the motion controls.
Ironically, I wasn't so interested in it before, but I'm getting more and more excited about it. If the reviews comne in good, day 1 purchase from me!
Looking forward to see how they can augment Natal into ME3 as an addition, not a requisite!
Side by side, the PS3 version looks terrible in comparison. Textures are all blurry and there is definitely lack of detail in the PS3 version.
That is a shame.... I agree, Sega should have asked or Sony should have offered help to fix this game. None the less as the OP said, if you have never seen the 360 version you would have never been the wiser!
Looking forward to the next installment!
Yeah, that is aussie prices.
However, is the limited edition with special artwork on it or just a regular elite console? Sounds like the latter....
lol... fanboys instead of discussing the issue, they have to diss Halo and 360 in every single article!
I think Geoff is doing a terrific job and I doubt Cooper will be saying anything about video games again.
From the time the dev kits were shipped until now (that is about 6-7 months), we got maybe a handful people complaining about the lag from developers/industry people in general. To boot, the developers aren't even that well known.
On the flip side, we are hearing a lot of positive things from people that actually has experienced it including publishers and developers.
The only one complaining are the ones with no first hand experience bloggers and fanboys. Most proba...
Sony might have the 22% increase, but the 360 held it's own WITHOUT a price cut, redesign, and mighty exclusives. Other than a new console or a new feature (alas the wand), there isn't much more Sony can throw at it. After all that for all intensive purposes, they sold even. That means the 360's brand is very strong with consumers.
Basically, MS price-cut their console last year and got a lead. Sony price-cut their console and is only selling even. There is likely no more price c...
I suspect the delay is due to all the games released in the first quarter of 2010. There are just too many games and this will definitely hurt everyone releasing a game especially in February run up to March.
Both April and June is pretty open.
The Xbox 360 is getting a patch for the screen tearing issue:

I upgraded to the 120GB elite and the extra space is really nice now that game installs are possible. Love the option to install.
Most games load way faster and the machine is a tad quieter. Now, if MS would only put in a quiet fan!!!
Just wait 6-months and it will be $30 in no time!
The wonderful thing about Natal (at least the idea) is that you can have additional input without it impeding on existing ones that already work great.
A great example is the one iceman2929 mentioned above about leaning around corners. I'm sure there are plenty of others, but the fact that Capcom is working on a Natal specific hardcore game from the ground up is very exciting. I'm expecting other developers to follow suit as MS has great third party support.
I see nothing wrong with it. They can do whatever they want as long as they adhere to the terms they set forth when you signed up.
However, I fail to see how you are going to gain customers this way. You will:
a) anger your previous customers
b) remove the opportunity for these players to return
In return, you might get a little boost in subscribers now. This seems like a bad management decision. Want to get them back, add new content and give pas...
Doesn't make sense why Sony would do this? Aren't both Heavy Rain and MAG published by Sony?
Both of the MS games are third party exclusives so there is no reason to fight with them. You will only hurt both parties, but most likely Sony. Both MAG and Heavy Rain are unproven franchises.
Not to say they aren't good games, just pick your battles wisely. Release it a week before your competition to steal their thunder and users dollars....
It's pretty simple really, instead of arguing about console wars, reality is MS is seizing the opportunity to market their console as the one getting content for the biggest game of last year first.
This re-inforces that the Xbox 360 is the console that gets exclusive content for big games. If you agree or not is another thing, but that is the way MS tries to market it. Most people (unless you select few or fanboys) don't just look for exclusives.
Capcom has been making great games so far, except for the freaken re-hashes.
Looking forward to see what this is... so much good news in the last 6-7 months in the gaming industry. It is insane!!!
