Sony real meant it when they said you need a hard drive. Just about any game released requires a hard drive and my poor 40GB MGS4 LE console is soon out of space.
I have the choice of:
a) upgrade the hard drive
or
b) wait 10-20 minutes when I want to play a game not installed
Xbox 360 is so cheap now that you can just buy another 360 if the drive gets worn out instead of paying a lot for the storage space just to install.
However, I upgraded to the Elite and must say the extra space is nice! The machine runs quieter too, but wish MS would have stuck with the quieter fans. Some of the earlier machines were super quiet. Now they all use the DC brushless fans that is way noisy!!!
That might be true, but asians (in Asia) don't view Mass Effect as the RPG they grew up with.
However, I'm a little suprised somebody was upset about it in Asia. It seems like the entire region prefer Japanese electronics (or should I say consoles).

The 2 million sales number is indeed for combinded, but considering for most games, PC only stand for 10% of the total sales. It wouldn't be too far fetched to say that even at its worst, ME2 sold 1.5 million on console the first 4 days!
I don't think sales affect the quality of the game, but it is pretty much known that 360 exclusives tend to sell better than PS3 ones.

The first game was published by MS, the second game is so far an Xbox 360 exclusive.
Considering all the issues involved, I would say that MS probably secured the rights to at least another one exclusive. Bioware probably gave up the rights to at least the sequel in some way. There might be a loop hole in there somewhere, but it will be a while before PS3 get's it. Why?

Bioware/EA has never said it would or would not come to PS3. However, the whole article is misleading.
The intro states:
"Well now it would seem Geoff Keighley has some inside information concerning the game’s arrival on PS3, and how it’s only a matter of time till this happens."
But then, the actual quote is this:
