Even blu-ray movies use compression. Then again, if you want the "superior" version of this game, get it on the PS3. For everyone else, there is a choice.

... and I like choices!!!

"How can you tell: it only sold 1/5 as much. " -Godmars290

You can tell by the percentage. The original Xbox had about 24 million consoles sold worldwide. The PS3 just recently hit the big 32ish million to put that into perspective.

The Xbox 360 had plenty of RROD issues early on, way before it hit the big 24 million mark.

So yes, you can tell!!!

In fact, I would argue the original Xbox was even more reliable than the PS2!

I wish MS would continue to support the Xbox Originals on Xbox Live, if anything just to re-enforce their commitment to the service.

Anyhow, I guess they supported into 4 years or almost half the Xbox 360 life cycle. Kind of surprised they didn't shutter sooner.

Who looks like the idiot now?

If Natal turns out to be a success, both Nintendo and Sony will look like idiots for turning it away. I can't comprehend why something like this would be turned down considering the possibilities. As I kid I would love to have this!

With that said, the technology behind Natal has a lot to do with th...

That is my point all along.

For all the things that Sony does right, it does seem that they are only selling as good as the 360.

Consider the PS3 has:

- price drop, redesign, massive AAA exclusives and huge marketing this year
- blu-ray, six axis motion, wifi built in, ard drive standard
- free online
- 150 million user base to live off

Consider the 360 has:

- RROD, E74, Disc Read Errors (DRE)
- pay for o...

It is true that many sequels are released on a new platform without the prior series. However, anyone that has played Mass Effect knows that it is heavily story driven. In fact the first game has somewhat poor game play, it is rather the story line and the RPG element that makes it an excellent game. I would hate to see people experience the second one without the first.

Therefore, we really need the first one to come to the PS3.

With that said, GeoW is published by ...

Google is still the best search engine around and Bing got a fairly long way to go.

Just take a look at their interface on the ad pages and it is clear, they need to start copying Google like crazy!

Bing itself is nice, but Google still has the best functionality.

Yeah, but that is backed by billions now....

Fast forward now, the official numbers now are 31 million for PS3 and 39 million for Xbox 360.

That means the gap widened 2 millions in the last 3-4 years to 8 millions.

What will change in the next 4-5 years that will give them the lead again? After all we got price drop, redesign, AAA graphically superior exclusives and plenty of marketing and Sony is still just selling about what MS is selling. I don't see anything changing, unless Natal or the Wand is a hit. Wha...

"How many 360 games have more than one disc? How many PS3 games have mandatory installs?" - soda popinsky

I agree! I don't use my PS3 too much, but if I did my 40GB would have filled up to the brim with required installations by now.

My 20GB on the 360 would still suffice.... on the other hand if I upgraded it (which I did with an Elite), the price of the hard drive itself is ridiculous.

- Bioshock was published by 2K Games, not Microsoft
- Bioshock was the first game, Mass Effect 2 is the sequel so they need to release the first one which was published by MS.

We all know EA want this on PS3, the question is why not release ME 1 first then release 2 on both platforms?

Second question is, does it even make sense to release the second one without the first one on PS3?

Third, Bioware is already making the third one right now with no m...

Mass Effect is for the PC and Xbox 360."

I thought the graphics on ME2 on PC is more or less identical to the 360 version since it isn't optimized at all.

Anyone that have both console and PC version can confirm?

I think Iwata is right! The Wii didn't sell because of graphics, it sold because of the experience. What new experiences needs to be brought to the table?

I think Natal is the next big thing purely because it is a new experience that is even more immersive than the wii motion controls. A Wii 2 will definitely need Natal technology of some sort....

Casual gamers don't care about high definition, but a fun experience.

The lack of DVD playback, HD resoluti...

This is such an old interview... I mean, this was before they announced the delay of the wands.

On top of that, the questions are poor and the answers are generic, but I guess that is what you get when you are unspecific!!!

Unfortunately, I don't see the wands differentiating itself enough from the Wii and the lack of a specialized analog controller makes it look even more hobbled together.

The good news, we might finally get Wii like games in HD. I mig...

Square Enix probably would have been a better deal for shareholders than Koei, but I guess they were at a disadvantage when it comes to negotiations with SE.
