I think this is what developers are talking about when fans themselves are destroying what they love and have a negative effect on the very franchise they love.
What is even more ironic is the fact that the Final Fantasy franchise has been available on most of Nintendo platform as far back as I can remember. It's not a Sony exclusive and the 360 version of FF XIII had no bearing on the PS3 version to boot!
Seeing the fan reaction (or hate), I'm even surprised the gam...
I find that use Netflix and streaming services much more when they are tied to the console and I can use a remote (or in rare instances a pad) to navigate the stuff.
This rumour about going paid subscription has been going on for a long time, and I frankly doubt they will make it all paid. Hulu has even stressed the importance of the free and paid for by advertising model they currently have.
Looking forward to seeing Hulu on the 360 if that is true! It would be huge...
That is a lot of content! That is more than most games that are released.
Glad I pre-ordered the Limited Edition already of this game! Looking forward to this game in about a month. Can't wait!!!
I actually enjoyed the DLC for ME1. Pinnacle station was quite a bit of fun and departure from the traditional RPG morping the game more as a shooter.
Looking forward to DLC for ME 2.
It is true that I went with the cheaper options, but it was intended for a triple monitor setup. A single dedicated card at twice the cost isn't the option.
With that said, even if I bought a 7600GT it's performance would have been around the two 7600GS in SLI. Still not enough to even play a game at the lowest setting a year later.
Now a days, you have to spend at least a $100 to even get a decent 3D card that you are likely to upgrade in 2-3 years max!
The 360 is really defying the odds in the U.S. It is remarkable how well it sells here. I'm extremely surprised given all the circumstances.
I don't think Blu-ray is as relevant anymore as there are now plenty more options to get your media. Sure, BR has an advantage in that it is of better quality and is a physical format.
However, what I learned from the previous generation of media, the DVD, I realized that I was amazing a huge collection that takes a lot of space. It is hardly worth anything now, but with a streaming or downloaded option, it hardly takes any space. I can take the account to my friends house to <...
Max two players with Moves and sub-controller (nunchuk) or four with just the Moves.
This means in some experiences it is even more limited than the Wii.
Reasons to get this is getting fewer... I will buy it, but wait for the inevitable price drop or for the killer app.
LOL, The Empire Strikes Back before the Return of the Xbox 360!
I want games from Bungie not middleware. They aren't exactly known for pushing the graphical limit instead they are known for great game play with above average graphics. Stick to delivering excellent game!
Please announce something at E3!!!
I find it interesting that nobody, but Sony is complaining about shortages especially since they were expecting a surge in sales!
With a price cut and Sony didn't prepare enough stock! With two three major games (Heavy Rain, God of War 3 and Final Fantasy 13) and they didn't prepare enough stock? Was their Holiday sales so good they didn't anticipate the demand? Really? Really?
Either Sony didn't have faith in their sales and didn't prepare stock or there are no shor...
I think it is underwhelming because it is nothing differentiating it from the Wii. The Wii with the Motion Plus is already really good.
Sony should show us something utilizing the camera that the Wii can't. For all intensive purposes, I see no difference between Wii and PS Move other than the latter being more accurate in places it really doesn't need to.
"Are you serious??? Have you not been paying attention to this site for past two days. There is a nunchuck called the Sub controller. Damn I really hate when people comment with lack of knowledge."
What I meant was for the bundled at $70-99 price tag Sony is aiming for, it lacks the nunchuck.
It is true that you don't have to upgrade constantly. However, you will!
You will also be unsatisfied with how a new game looks in 2-years. PC hardware in relative terms to games don't age well.
I once tried playing Lost Planet on PC. The game was quite old and my SLI GeForce 7600GS put out graphics that look terrible and unplayable.
The game was released 1-year after the 7600GS card was released. I purchased it because it was among the cheapest dual d...
Then again, how many SD TV users are there on the HD consoles? Especially on the PS3!
"It wont allow you to do anything since you don't have a X360."
The manufacturer can control what experience the user will see, as opposed to an open platform where the user is free to see all the bad things that might turn them off.
It's like Windows... How often do you see it crash? How often do you hear complaints? Yet, the vast majority if basically not all problems stem from 3rd party software!
Run stock Windows and you won't have a problem!
This article is not about Natal, but I really think Natal is clearly differentiated from the Wii and now the PS3.
To a consumer, it is clear that you can't do what Natal does with the Wii or the PS3 (for the most part). Natal enables more user input than possible with the PS Move/Wii with your whole body so there is a huge potential there for a variety of games that will be better on Natal including fitness games, fighting/boxing games, dancing games and things people haven't th...
Is there ever a non-harmful side of addiction in general?
I can think of very few!
Again, the fact that they haven't done anything indicates to me that very little will change. They might make a two (or even three) tiered service where the basic stuff is free.
Most likely what is free will remain free because we all know, if you change your service after the fact. People tend to get upset and move away!
That is probably why they haven't changed anything with repeated comments about charging. Even in the article you posted, only 17% CONSIDERED, yes ...
