I'm saddened to see that Japanese developers don't embrace western consoles. It seems we all buy Asian products, but almost nobody over there buys western products.
I think releasing a demo before the game releases means the developer are confident the game is good. Even if the demo is there, you don't have to advertise it!
I'm however disappointed that most of the actual content is digital. The only real physical item you are getting is the Pandora box and the tiny art book. Why are Sony disappointing fans like this by not having stock and not even providing a cheap DVD/CD with the digital content.
Exclusive content downloadable via PlayStation Network ONLY:
* God of War Combat Arena containing an exclusive environment and seven challenges.
* Premium Kratos Skin – Dominus.

In other words, you should just get an Xbox 360 and Windows Phone 7!
Because it already does all of that and the only reason not to get it, is because it is NOT branded with Apple.
"hey ken those sites that said they passed it in 8 hours said that they go trough it without searching for secrets and not killing alot of the enemys. thay probably played trough it just to make the review."
If there are multiple sites claiming so, I would rather believe the independent review houses!
Why does it matter? Short games haven't stopped people from buying a game in the past.
Nothing wrong with spin-offs, if that is what the fans want. It is a crime not to give the fans what they want just for the sake of it!
To real fans, it is not milking if it is a good product!!!
Yeah it is called the PC, I didn't buy a PC.
It's an amazing game!
Do you own the Ultimate version of Windows 7 when you paid for Basic? I mean the ultimate version is on the disc. So is Office 2007 and a host of other software from Adobe and many other vendors. They all for the most part work the same way.
What about shareware, I mean after all they gave you the software for free. Does it mean you own the right to unlock it without the vendors permission?
Bottom line is, software is a license not ownership. You don't own the softwa...
DLC could be planned and implemented in advance as it probably has better profit margins than say when the game goes budget.
I'm not advocating overpriced DLC, but if you consider that a game that cost around $25-50 million to make and you sell anywhere from 2.5-5 million copies. That means about $5-10 of each game sold is development cost without even considering marketing, support, the risk and etc.
If you don't like it, vote with your wallet! The problem is, peopl...
Nothing is more embarrassing than badly managing your company and not pursuing profitable ventures!
That's why I never see anything wrong with copying and improving because it helps keep competition going and is good for both consumers and shareholders.
Why should anyone be embarrassed other than saying "you should be embarrassed for venturing into potentially profitable business"!!!???
Well, MS aren't stupid like Sony and released the PSP Go as an overpriced download only device when clearly the market isn't ready for it.
The market is moving in that direction, but a big chunk of people still don't have broadband. Games on Demand is pretty successful on the 360 and Steam is increasing sales every year. I never really heard any PC gamer using Steam complain about download time for their games. There are plenty of PC games that use multiple DVDs.
What activation fee?
Where did you get all the prices for your fees?
So people will be willing to spend $15/month + the price of the game rental or purchase instead of just buying a 360 for less than $200. That is about the cost of onLive for a year and doesn't require an internet connection.
The only time I see this is if you want to play a game and don't want to upgrade your PC. Could be cool for Starcraft 2 for instance, since I don't PC game anymore.
I find it funny that people will say, Move is fine this dude is a Nintendo fanboy and therefore a liar. Yet, when speaking about Natal, the Nintendo fanboy is now NO LONGER A LIAR!
So anything negative about Move, is a lie. Anything negative about Natal, is true!!! /s
Tell my why then Netflix Streaming, Hulu, Steam, Xbox Live Arcade games, PSN Arcade games and iTunes is taking off like wildfire in a windstorm?
The PSP Go is nothing more than a money grab attempt by Sony gone wrong. Consumers recognized there was a superior product on the market for a lower price, the PSP-3000. Also, the majority already preferred the Nintendo DS at a significantly lower price point.
Why anyone would pay $80 more for a less capable PSP with limited...
I find it funny that Sony has lower stock than MS not to mention shortages, considering their recent price cut and AAA exclusive games.
They must not have faith in their product.
Ahhh, that is just an evil cycle!
... but I hear ya.
They might want to negotiate with Sony as well for PS3 access....
This is a respected developer that is genuinely excited and of course we got the usual Sony cronies thread crapping in here. If you have legitimate reason then state it, but most of the time it is about the lag that isn't even confirmed. Even then it isn't even a final product.
I'm very excited about Natal and by all accounts, Natal shows a lot of promise. What Cliffie is talking about is a great way for me and my girlfriend to game!!!
