Although I'm weary about a game I never heard, especially if it is being released in two-three months. However, CoD4 Ghillies in the Mist mission is one of the best gaming experiences I have had this console generation.

The absence of a chip is a strength in my opinion. With a chip that will definitely be far inferior to the CPU/GPU of the 360, you will end up with something that is restrictive in performance to the proprietary limited chip.
If you offload the computation on to the 360 you can take as much processing power as needed to decrease processing time at the cost of less computing time for other parts of the game. THIS COULD BE UP TO THE DEVELOPER.

The processing chip they are talking about isn't for gesture recognition, it is to process the data sensed by the camera among other things for depth. There several different technologies to sense depth in an image and both 3DV and PrimeSense has technology to do this.

Don't remove a feature until it ACTUALLY IS a security problem? I mean you can always close it later in a firmware update and since new games will require the update.

Play NG2 like it was meant to be played with more enemies on screen and much more punishing difficulty designed by the original game designer.
If you in contrast go to the PS3 blog and read the comments about this you will see how upset people are.

I understand, but consumers don't see it that way.
They want an affordable product and by removing the chip the products become affordable while making it not only easier to support the product with software updates, but also potentially give the developer the flexibility to decide how much processing power to dedicate to the controllers. You need more, you get it. You need less, free it up for graphics.

That would be in an ideal world where computing resources doesn't cost money. You have to balance the cost of the product with what you are able to offer.
Of course, I would love to have an affordable gazillion core CPU inside Natal, but that isn't very cost effective is it?

I agree and GDC isn't the real place to show products to consumers. GDC are for developers to share developer type information and etc. That is why they have all these talks about various development and industry topics. It is not to showcase a new product.
E3 is the electronic entertainment expo and is the place were they showcase new products!
That is why I'm really looking forward to E3 this year! This is probably the most exciting E3 evar!!!
