I think it is a case of something else than real disappointment from somebody that hasn't seen anything and considering the reveal is this summer.
All I hear is genuine interest from publishers, developers and consumers!!!
....
This is an interesting problem. Developers put in roadbloacks that gamers perceive as boring and try to circumvent it. Then a lawsuit happens!
I'm not sure who I would side with in a case like that....
Mugshot is indeed needed....
The issue now is anything you do in software means you will step on somebody's foot. It is like amazon.com obvious 1-click online order patent.
Do you really want people patenting ideas? You should be able to patent implementations, but not ideas.
MS no saint here, they do the same thing most other companies do including Sony.
I guess then according to the judge, MS Office is a steal at $300 considering a tiny feature is worth $80!!!
I guess all the big software companies like Adobe should all raise their prices to reflect that....
That tiny feature is worth more than 50% of the cost of MS Office 2007 Home and Student that is by the way licensed for 3 people!!!
That is a pretty strong vote of confidence on Natal technology. So now it is MS job to ensure it gets enough momentum to bring this forward.
I'm excited to see what E3 will bring and expect a huge amount of information coming out.
As it is, were getting a new game announcment from CliffyB pre-E3 next Thursday. That means, there must be a lot of stuff to talk about at E3 since it isn't being saved!
Would have thought that traditionally the 4-5th year is ...
Disc read errors is probably the most common problem on disc based consoles. There is pretty much nothing you can do.
If you are on a PS3, install any optional installs.
If you are on the 360, you always have the option of installing the entire game. This practically removes the problem altogether and increases game performance.
Well then, then GameStop should shoulder the cost because that is the cost of doing business if you don't want your stuff stolen.
If that is not good enough, get those plastic cases that wrap around the game. I have seen them used at Circuit City and even Best Buy in the past. They don't seem to have a problem!
A new game is new, factory sealed and unopened. PERIOD! That is why I don't buy games at GameStop if I can avoid it. Last time I bought a game there was Ninj...
Sorry, but why does my game need to be connected to the internet in the first place?
Even regular software activation can be done over the phone so what gives?
I don't care if it is DRM or not, if it has to connect to the internet to play then it is the equivalent to me. If they are going to threat their customers as thieves, then there is no reason the customer should treat them as a greedy evil corporation!
As a number, it might seems small relative to the user base. That still doesn't change that it is the most wanted of the people that actually voted.
The people that actually go to the Playstation blog and the same people that is most likely the most hardcore of the hardcore gamers.
So yeah, I would say it is pretty significant. People has been crying for this feature for years, instead Sony is taking away a feature tomorrow. Enjoy!
Thanks Sony! You always think of my best!!!
Is that why cross game chat is at the most wanted feature as voted by 17,000 on Playstation Blog Share.

They must all be Xbox 360 owners!
This is not a joke! A joke doesn't involve 4000 comments in two days.
Check out the Playstation Blog comment section:

That is a lot of upset people!!! Sony would stop this negative press if it was a joke.
New customers don't care, because as far as they know they are not missing a feature unless the Playstat...
That's what it is, a downgrade. There is no new features unless you consider taking away a feature, a feature.
I didn't say people don't pirate the OS. That is you putting words in my mouth.
However, if you know anything about MS you would know that if you aren't going to pay and just pirate, then MS prefers that you pirate their software.
Games don't have the same business model. There you have your answer.
Unfortunately for MS haters and fortunately for MS, pirates that use Windows still support MS by strengthen their platform through what people are used to u...
I'm probably passing on 3D unless some really compelling games is coming out, but even then the cost of a new LCD TV and goggles makes this technology something for tomorrow.
Furthermore, I wasn't that impressed with Avatar in 3D.... It was exciting the first hour and after that you couldn't help, but notice all the things wrong with the 3D.
"Natal is still restricted to line of sight. It cannot track a hand hidden behind your back any more than the PS Eye can." -arksind
That is incorrect. Natal can tell where your arm is if it is obscured because of the software:
"It correctly positions your hand even if it's held behind your back," Kipman says. "It knows the hand can only be in one place." That's important because during multiplayer games there won't always be a clear view...
I'm sorry, but Natal is extremely advanced based on not only hardware, but also sophisticated software. The gem of this all is the software and how well the motion capture is going to be.
The buyout of 3DV is just for the patents that prevent them from getting sued when their product sells millions. Considering the potential legal costs, the $7 million they paid for 3DV is a bargain. That is a steal for some of the most promising upcoming technology that they can use to sue othe...
As you guys are known Sony fanboys I don't expect you to understand and there is no point in having a civilized discussion with either of you.
