Bungie has never been about graphics. It has always been gameplay first. Just look at all the things they introduce to the multiplayer component. Soo many different modes of games and etc....
Game play first is also my preference.
"@IdleLeeSiuLung - Even Sega were around longer than Sony, with their four generations of consoles. But let's ignore facts and turn everything into a competition where Sony must always come out on top. The ignorance."
I'm confused? Why are you talking about Sony, when I'm talking about Nintendo?
I'm saying Nintendo is probably the most historic game company because they have been active in the console industry the longest. Atari is probably among the longes...
Historic suggest active time line so I would say Nintendo. It doesn't matter how popular you are, but even then Nintendo trumps the nearest competitor.
You know for a crowd that loves the Playstation brand, it is ironic that PS2 didn't dominate the console market because of it's graphical prowess last generation. Likewise, Crysis didn't isn't a great game because of it's heart pounding graphics! Heck, Crysis wasn't even a great game.
So why is it all of a sudden so important now? Art direction determines more of the aesthetics than resolution.
The list was good until I got Crimson Viper. I was, what the heck?
It's akin to comparing a Mac to PC. Why do many people (still a minority though) prefer to use a Mac when it cost so much more than PC? Surely a PC does everything a Mac does at a fraction of the cost.
Answer is the experience and ease of use. As much as I dislike Apple, I gotta hand it to them, they make some very intuitive and user centric software.
So sure PSN does almost everything Live does, but just not as easy or convenient. So if you want your stuff sugar coa...
I agree. The 360 version was much more fun to play than the PS3 version. The PS3 version was dumbed down with fewer enemies. They also removed blood, which although doesn't affect game play reduced the satisfaction of lopping off peoples limbs.
The PS3 version was significantly easier than the Xbox 360 version. Despite the CLEARLY VISIBLE differences between PS3 and Xbox 360 version, I still preferred the 360 version. Hayashi didn't add anything of real value to Ninja Gaiden 2.
Gotta agree with you. Of the motion controls available, the PS Move is the most likely to succeed with hardcore gamers.
With that said, there are hardcore games on the Wii and they didn't sell well at all, so Sony got an uphill battle.
Natal might appeal to the hardcore audience as a piece of innovative technology, but will it be able to hold their attention long? Doubtful... especially in any meaningful way.
With that said, I'm looking forward to them...
I would argue that, I'm not sure I want Natal on my hardcore games unless it makes sense. Don't replace the controller with a more clunky design.
The only time Natal should be used is when the same control is more difficult to control with the traditional controller. Certain games do well with Natal, like full body fighting games. However, I don't want to sneak around my living room while playing Splinter Cell using Natal.
Perhaps, casual games will be the type of ga...
So you guys think that Activision became the largest game publisher by treating their flagship franchise and studio terribly.
To me that doesn't make sense at all. Activision/Kotick isn't stupid. Most likely Activision treated Infinity Ward "extremely well". It probably is just the head is gone and the lowers are scrambling to go elsewhere while they are also given great offers at other studios including Respawn.
That video comes up in every Natal article. Aren't people sick of posting it yet?
... I will still enjoy it.
!!!
So let me get this straight, Sony removes a feature. Retailers have to re-reimburse their customers at their expense and Sony says F*** u to the retailers just like they did their customers.
Nobody wins with a feature removal, except *maybe* Sony. It seems to me that Sony should reimburse their loyal customers....
I don't think Activision became among the biggest publishers by being dumb. If you look at what Activision offered the two, full control over all future CoD games after WWII then that is immense power.
Surely Activision knows that, it can be used as a pawn in negotation against them so I'm inclined to believe that West and Zampella enjoyed quite a bit of privilege. Furthermore, this is not the first time West and Zampella have pulled something similar. Remember 2015, Inc....
The game will be released as a full stand alone game with a satisfying ending. I think they were talking about more side stories and prequels for the episodes.
The article is saying FUTURE Splinter Cell titles on PS3 is a wait and see....
Well said, the shaft do go both ways. There are benefits and weaknesses to all systems. Pick what works best for you or do like I did and get all three!!!
No, because is is free and free is always good right!!!
LOL....
LMAO!
I think they all are liars, because some schmock will say something... that is why blind fanboyism is so bad for the industry.
