What people don't realize is that consoles are very limited in hardware. The only reason they push out such great graphic is because they are a known quantity to developers. It is easy to optimize when you only have 1-3 configurations to worry about as opposed to the gazillion in the PC world that essentially turns it into almost a lowest common denominator.

Nintendo ironically might be the first to push new hardware as Wii sales decline, while Sony is probably the last due to the heavy investment into PS3.
Microsoft sees no reason to upgrade as long as their console sells and Nintendo doesn't push a new one out.
The next Wii is likely to be an incremental improvement over the Xbox 360/PS3 because Nintendo wants to profit from each console sold.

Why not just use the PC for RTS if you are just going to mimic it with a keyboard/mouse? The user base is already there.
I like my console because it is simple... as soon as you start turning it into a PC, I might as well buy a PC. After all, the PC is an open platform, games are cheaper and in almost all cases look significantly better than on consoles.
Using the PS Move still keeps the console simple.... Just my opinion though.

In Remedy's defense, the expectations where so high that I think disappointment was a certainty. The fact that a lot of the scores came back as well as it is, I think the game will be great.

Rarely do I think lawsuits are a good thing. In fact, I just received my class action lawsuit check for a mere $6 after my college increased my fee like 6-7 years ago. I bet the lawyers got a nice little paycheck that pays for more than a Big Mac meal.
With that said, Sony set a precedent that they can remove features at will with the user having no recourse. With three lawsuits going, I sure hope any other company that tries to pull the same trick will think twice.

KB/Mouse would now work on the PS3 because most people don't have a KB/Mouse and furniture setup in front of their PS3.

That is not entirely accurate, as you increase the resolution on your screen the pixels get smaller. The resolution of Alan Wake is made to scale well because it is an exact multiple of 1920x1080 i.e. 1080p.
With scaling you will not notice anything on a true Full HD 1080p TV!

Well you could in theory make a 1080p game on the Wii (assuming there were outputs capable of it) with just a ball on the screen rendered at 1920x1080!
Point being, there are a lot more to a game than just the resolution!

The thing is Sony initially marketed the PS3 as a supercomputer, and boy oh boy they didn't lie. So what happens, Universities and other places start buying them en mass (which makes you wonder how much of their user base is comprised of this market segment).

With Sony's history on accessories, I would think they should just not bother. However, I'm cautiously optimistic because a lot of what is coming to PS Move is already on the Wii and the price tag is high!
With that said, I hope somebody releases a fantastic RTS on console and the PS Move would seem like it could do the job. I will wait to see if there are any games worth buying the thing for as well as hoping for a price drop.
