Nintendo's president Satoru Iwata said he wishes to "enhance the ability to combat piracy in Europe through both legal and technological means." He plans to achieve that by developing consoles that won't play illegal software.

"A slang term that is short for 'General Impression of Size and Shape'. The term is a method used to identify birds at a glance or at a distance. Experienced bird-watchers can identify a bird at a glance from it's jizz."

The logo doesn't help though!!! LOL....

Why release these tiny feature enhancements? Why not release it with a big update?

It is risky to upgrade your firmware for something so insignificant. I'm sure you can decline it for now, but many won't and some will get their machines bricked. It always happen with any firmware upgrade no matter the vendor.

I'm pissed about it too. I have never met a company that removes a feature I already paid for in a physical product and not compensate me in any way.

Heck, I don't think I have ever had a feature removed from an existing product I already paid for!

Most likely it is a warning and like many warnings, it isn't always the case. If you read any manual there are plenty of warnings, and it is there for the most part for legal reasons. Besides this isn't a finished product yet.

With that said:

"The instructions for the tester (and the point of them having the unit) ask that they pronounce 600 different lines of text for Natal to recognise. These range from turning on the Xbox 360 to 'connect to Facebook'.

I find it funny that Sony will allow game sharing something MS doesn't allow and kudos to Sony for that, but they will remove a non-existant threat with "Other OS".....

"Other OS" -> no immediate threat, and patchable in the future
Game sharing -> immediate threat, but no change

Care to show proof that Lens of Truth is "deliberately gimping images" or do "false advertising"?

Is the PS3 version running at a lower resolution? In the pictures almost every single one of them the PS3 version is blurrier than the Xbox 360 version.

edit: "the Xbox 360 had a higher resolution.".

The win should have gone to the Xbox 360, because a whole second slower load time in a scene doesn't really count. That is within error range let alone significant.

With that said, I don't think anyone enjoying this game really cares or notices. ...

It is a service and MS can change it any way they want. I think it is ridiculous that people complain about a service shutting down at least 4 years after the original product was discontinued.

You have 4-years to move over to the new service and it's not like they are forcing a higher priced service on you like what phone companies do (nobody is b!tchin about that though). To boot they gave you free points, extra months of Xbox Live and a free Beta to their latest game.

For now, Silverlight isn't used much in ads so loading a webpage doesn't kill my computer nor does it have annoying sound I can't turn off. However that is for now.

With that said, so far silverlight doesn't seem to consume as much CPU power. Flash easily eats up my C2D!

This would be really bad. Intel's only CPU competitor going to a company that thrives on making their product trendy and over priced. Nothing wrong with that, but just don't pollute the cpu market.

I hope whatever they release as a premium demo that it will be included in the final game, then I don't care if some sucker is willing to pay. Now if they are basically breaking up the game and selling it in pieces, then that is messed up!

Yes, the evil MS. They shut down our service! How dare they? It must be some evil scheme!

... or it could be that a small minority is holding back features to the masses. After all the original Xbox has been supported at least 4 years after its discontinuation. It only sold 24 million worldwide so consider how many still use that service? Especially when we know only roughly half of Xbox 360 owners are paying customers.

I think it is justified that they stopped suppo...

Steps to foretelling the future:

1. make some assumptions (or to fanboys facts)

2. extrapolate some conclusive data based on the assumptions

3. judge (or to fanboys condemn) the product

I'm probably going to buy this game and then regret it when Super Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Turbo Championship Edition is released a year later though.

In fact, I know that is exactly what will happen! I'm a sucker for Capcom....

No, I just don't want you guys to vote for a movie based on the poster because the movie studio hasn't released the movie yet. It's akin to judging a book by it's cover before you read the book.

I don't imagine you guys do that now, do you?

How about you wait until you see more before judging the unknown? I guess that is hard to do with fanboys though....

Yeah, Google Chrome is awesome, but man do you give up privacy when using Google products!

Google products is like a drug. It works great, but every time you use it, you give away a little bit of your soul.

I like my manual because I like physical copy of stuff I buy.

In the name of green, all these companies are trying to cut cost.

It seems Ubisoft is getting really aggressive against customers, first DRM and now this.

Halo 3 can definitely be played from hard drive and the only penalty is slightly longer load times. They didn't recommend it as it makes other party members wait longer in multi-player games.

It has no effect on the game itself.
