What's the point of speculating, then based on that making assumptions?
Just wait and make up your mind... if you already made up your mind then you just found your inner fanboy.
If you don't like motion technology and DON'T think you are a fanboy, then what you are you doing in a Project Natal article about Ricochet in the title?
The crutch of Open Source is user interface. Proprietary software spends ample amount of money to figure out how to make it easy to use their software.
Open source software on the other hand rely on a cr@p load of documentation that is archaic. Almost no time it seems is spent on the user interface.
This is the very reason why Ubuntu is so successful. It aimed to make it extremely easy to use Linux, but by default it is still built on all this graphically inferior us...

Linux has it's advantages such as plenty of free software of almost anything. The OS runs pretty solid and seems to require fewer resources. However, it is a b*tch to setup though.
Ever tried configuring Apache (which exist on Windows), MySQL, firewall (iptables) or any other software on Linux? Well then, you should catch my drift. It is a b*tch, but once it works it works pretty solidly.

I was a little dissappointed in how Morrigan looked in that trailer for MvC 3. For some reason, her face lacked the sexy more rounded look on her face. The concept art shown above though looks decent, but I like the slightly more cartoony look.
A large part of the cost of the PS3 was not R&D. R&D is included on financial statements as a separate line item. Sony still after 3-4 years on the market is most likely unable to sell the PS3 at a break even cost, let alone profit from each machine sold to consumers. Not a great business plan if you ask me.
I'm talking about the manufacturing (and parts) cost of the PS3 that far exceeded the cost of the item being sold even when the price of said item is far more expensi...
Sony's problem isn't research. Research is an investment into the future.
Sony's problem is an unsustainable business plan! PS3 at $600? PSP Go for $250? In the first instance, they overpriced a product that wasn't going to make a profit for a long time. If they had huge sales, they would loose a lot of money. In the second instance they made sure to profit from their product, so much so that they alienated their customers.
That is kind of fishy, only because it is so blatant....
It seems any game that sells millions, there are always a vocal few that hates the game.
I agree!
The minor advantages that the PSP Go brings is negated by it's weakness. In fact, it's weakness far supersedes any advantage it may have and is in turn just a crippled device.
The lousy game support alone kills it let alone anything else. Even the employees at the retail store recognized this and recommended the PSP-3000!!!
I agree! Todays controller is so evolved since the days of d-pad + 2 buttons of the NES controller.
Who would have thought I would be able to use these 2 analog, 1 d-pad, 4-6 button and 2 trigger controllers. Basically, there are more buttons (inputs) on the controller than my fingers!
I see Natal the same way, a huge leap above PS EyeToy that can revolutionize and open that area of gaming up just like the Wii did with Motion Control.
... or it could ent...
This year is PS3's advantageous year with heavy hitting exclusives, redesigned console and price drop so I expect Sony to make some inroads. With that said, other than games (there aren't that many left) and maybe PS Move there isn't really that many catalysts moving forward.
MS is in the same boat, but they still have re-designed console and price drop in addition to the games and Natal.
Given the situation, it looks like a stalemate for Sony and MS. By the end of ...
In the last 3-4 years, I have bought a Wii, Xbox 360 and a PS3. To add to that, I bought a 40" Sony LCD TV so I ain't dropping another $1000+ for a new TV.
They want me to splurge on 3D, make it $200 or less!
Pretty cool! Anything free (even if it is promotional and optional) is nice!!!
Art direction has a much bigger impact on visuals than resolution. I have seen some bad looking high resolution games....
So take your pic!
Fair to consumers? That is delusional.
Capitalism doesn't work that way and it shouldn't. The company should think about its bottom line, because I would like to be paid for my work.
Why don't we all just work for free?
LOL, he is not going to tell you, but I'm sure you are right.
That was not sarcastically meant. I don't think I can say anything without making it NOT sound sarcastically....
I'm not sure how that is good on a consumer level when a company protects itself? The only exception is when they are too big/important to fail.
When a company protects itself it takes away the rights of the consumer. Although the company is rightly so and justified, there is no way that is good for consumers.
I never really read ToS, because they can practically say whatever they want and you really got no choice, but to agree.
Is it me or does it seem like the avatar has the same colored clothing as the person playing? At least from the pictures where we are able to see color on the avatar. If so, it would be pretty cool if Natal can recognize your clothing color and automatically setup your avatar.
