The fact of the matter is a company of that size will have people leave all the time and new people joining. On the other hand if there are a lot of key executives that leaves it might be a sign that the company is in trouble or they just have a lot of talent that other companies want.

I like reviews and especially sites like metacritic and gamerankings. I have never bought a game receiving great scores on metacritic/gamerankings that is terrible or scored way above or way below what I think it should.

Unfortunately for us, every new DLC that includes gameplay fetches at least 400 points ($5 bucks). Developers probably spend a fraction fo the time fleshing out the new content once the technology is developed. This means that DLC is highly profitable. I loved the single player, but never tried multiplayer. Although in single player it had it's moment of sheer frustration on hard. Capcom really dropped the ball on PS3 users though. Seeing how they just got the "special" version and then 360 get's another improved version for less money just a mere 3-4 months later. That is a slap in the face to PS3 gamers.

You are right to a certain degree, but the number of consoles sold from a particular maker determines if you will have a good selection of games. Game developers (or publishers) determine if there is a market for a particular game based on trend and number consoles sold (i.e. how large is the market). Therefore it is important that the consoles sell well. Ideally, you want all consoles to sell almost the same, that way there is fierce competition to keep each other ahead!
