Although this is also a good year for gaming, I think that to beat last year we will need a number of good hits on the size of Halo, CoD and GTA series. I don't see any coming this year after GTA.

The casual gaming market is probably just bounce along as Wii demand is being met. So what other catalyst do we have to top last years sales?

This is not about what great game is coming out for gamers, but what will get people to buy a lot of games on the same scale a...

It is funny how everybody speculates on what punishment MS will give for those lucky enough to get the game early. The email said nothing about punishment.

Did it occur to you that perhaps MS will just prevent unauthorized people from playing it online or for "one of the authorized" to hand the game to a friend that was not suppose to have it. Worse, what if it was auctioned on ebay?

I highly doubt MS will do anything to punish end users. You never want...

Fact: MS provides replacement power cords (recall)

I have heard of a handful of cases on the original classic Xbox, but as soon as people see a poorly written article which by the way makes no sense, the fanboys jump on it and complains about MS. No investigatin into the cause...

I'm sure fires are started because of computers, hairdryers or even the obvious heaters, but do we hear people say OH MY GOD, GOOD JOB LG. There are like 18 million 360's out there and y...

Man how often have we seen the cheap and (less worthy) LE tin box on the 360. Basically the tinbox houses the game inside a carboard sleeve more or less. This one comes with the game in a separate case and disc. It also includes a host of extra content.

The price tag though is probably monstrous!!! I don't know about the game though....

Whatever it is, the company behind it (if there is one) is doing a very poor job of marketing this product. If people have to second guess if the product is real!

My best guess is that no "money hungry" company would let that happen so this must be fake.

Why? Because almost always can I find the game cheaper elsewhere brand new. I find it odd that EB/GS could grow so large, given the small price difference in a used and new game. Why would anyone want a dirty (and potentially nasty) and scratched game for 10% price difference is beyond me. Now if you are 10-12 years old I can see that....

EB/GS is a rip-off and people are willing to shop there and that is why they are there. Until people stop shopping there they will be around ...

Sounds about right, and maybe a little low considering the work load (from what I hear, 50-60+ hours a week). However, why are business people making so much? This seems to be true in almost any field, business people makes the most money.

Basically, a large part of your brain is developed by age 12. Once your past 21 or so, you have reached your mental peak.

With that said, it is then obvious that at a younger age you will learn faster and if you are playing games while your brain is developing you will pick it up faster. So the question shouldn't be if there is a critical period, but rather when that critical period is?

With that said, it is of no suprise to me if a 10-15 year old beats a mid 30 ...

Because you live in Norway and it cost you more, does not mean it is cheaper for Americans to buy the game. Fact is, there is buying power based on income. Norwegians make more money per hour (tax the sh*t out of ther citizens). Thus the higher price is justified in Norway. In terms of buying power, they cost the same in both countries.

A limited collector's edition is rarely limited at launch. It is only limited in sense that it stops production after the initial stock is del...

Fact is, this article is written by the Mac Observer.... Bias anyone?

Bottom line is, nobody knows MS plans for their products are in-store. What if they where just little boots in malls? Speculating the stores will fail before even knowing what the plan is just fanboyism. I still do not understand why stupid articles like this gets approved on a news for gamers site. They are completely unrelated and is not even news!

I might just stop visting this site and read...

Intel makes excellent chipsets rivaling nvidia, so nvidia better be scared. However, who did not see this happening?

I mean with Vista supporting 3D GUI and casual gaming is on the rise.... Nvidia should have partnered with Intel or AMD when they had the chance.... There were rumours of a merger between AMD and Nvidia for a while and would have been a better purchase than ATi for AMD.

I thought the average age of a gamer is 25-35. Most people in this range has a good disposable income and shouldn't have a sticker shock for $60. Although I recognize people have different income levels and stages in their lives i.e. you might be young etc. What age range are you guys?

To me, I would rarely pre-order primarily because I can almost always find the same game cheaper than MSRP than popular places like Circuit City, GameStop and Best Buy charges on their new games....

The crappy thing about Mac's are you have to pay to get an update for Mac OSX that you NEED to run some newer software. WTF!!!

Apple first rip you off on expensive hardware, then they rip you off again on software and the best thing about it. The consumer feels good about the whole ordeal! Go figure....

It is common in most industry to copy an existing design and improve on it. In fact most businesses that start with a new "revolutionary" idea tend to die a painful death. Nothing wrong with what MS is doing.

I commend them for copying. Otherwise we get the other criticism "why aren't MS implementing this technology, it has been out for xx number of years!"....

I can tell you that MS software especially their operating system is among the best code in the world. If you actually look at some inside information, their code has among the fewest number of bugs per unit line of code.

It is just that their software is used so much that much more attention is given to them. Last I checked, just for the FireFox that people used to hail as the more secure browser, both IE and Firefox are neck in neck on bug reports (just casual observation in...

I do not know how long that pro Uwe Boll petition has been online, but it has less than 150 signatures when I checked. The boot Uwe Boll petition currently has over 100,000's signatures. We are a long way from a million though. I'm suprised not more people have signed it.

Although, I do not think Uwe Boll movies are as bad as many others I have seen from Hollywood. He has however, in my opinion done a lot of damage to many "game related" movies.

That was until I downloaded a map pack for Halo 3. That download alone was half a gig (500MB). This means that of the 20GB or so, that only 12-13 is usable I get at most 24-26 map packs. This of course assumes that I have nothing else on it... which is not true.

I think there are some issues with re-downloading material you paid for too... Not sure, but something to do with other accounts on the same Xbox unable to use the content.
