It said 250 additional achievement points. Is this something specific to this release or does it stem from the multiplayer map packs?
It would suck for those that wanted those extra point and could not get it unless they shelled out money again for the game.
Fact of the matter is there is more raw processing power in the CELL that probably will never be unlocked in games. The PS3 might have the mega gazillion FLOPs, but if it is not something that a developer can harness it has no effect on the games.

I avoid GS like the plague as they are alway trying to get me to pre-order. Rip me off on used games (although it is their right) and give me terrible exchange priviliges.
I buy my games from Target or Walmart. Both places give me 90 day exchange privilige and often are cheaper! There are nobody hassling me about pre-ordering, they are open...
Now it is true that the final build is what should be sent for review, not an imcomplete version. However, the reviewer is saying that the product you will get in store may or may not be the same as what they are reviewing so they are waiting for the actual final build.
On the other hand you should question the other sites that are reviewing a "review" or incomplete build.
This makes perfect sense to me and I don't see why it shouldn't for you.
I dislike GS very much, because I don't think they do the customer right and is primarily out to price gouge you. However, it is within their right to sell it at that price and the man can refuse.
I personally never shop at GS and avoid them like the plague. I tell everyone to avoid them as well, but if you want they are more likely to have it new or used than let say Target.

Fact is that PC games are nowhere near as optimized as their console counterparts on the hardware. In brute hardware performance nothing can touch the PC, the problem is the efficient use of the resources. Developers are most likely squeezing all they can from the console
