You are right that it is an additional cost, but call it future proofing if you would (the same argument PS3 fanboys use). Instead of having to buy a new controller when your battery goes bad or having to do a complicated electronic surgery process to replace battery as in the dual-shock, you can simply replace the battery at will. Frankly, who gives a sh!t! I don't care who is at fault and if you want to put conjure up a conspiracy and blame MS, then perhaps you should blame Sony for the inability to be the dominant console. Perhaps then, SE wouldn't bother putting out the game on other platform or maybe it is just plain corporate greed.

Not at the moment as MS really hasn't said much about 2009. We will have to wait and see, but the current line up is poor. MS doesn't have too many 1st party tiles to rely on like Sony. Sony's 1st party line up is very strong.

They really should have done a CE for such a highly anticipated game. I think KZ2 will sell better than Resistance 2. Resistance 2 seemed lackluster to me and kind of like Halo 3. To me a memorable FPS was CoD4.... single player was awesome!
I'm not for piracy and Sony is well within its right to sue others for infringing. However, I must also point out that sometims piracy also has the added effect of increasing the userbase. If Sony is making a profit off each handeld sold, they are still profiting. If they hack it, it is also likely they can't claim on warranty which of course means more profit.

I hate to piss on your parade or even start anything here, but two years is not early adopter phase when the average prime of a console life is the first 5 years for early adopters (in Europe it is 2-3 months shy of being out for 2 years now).

There might also be a possibility that lower res textures are put on the 360 version and not as much data is being streamed off the disc. I only heard of 1 game that has this though, I think a game by ID Software, but can't remember the name.

I'm sorry you guys had problem (if you guys did as claimed). However, that is 3 out of millions sold every year. In the early days, we got widespread claims of RROD as well as reports from retailers, warranty providers and repair shop complaining about it. There was no doubt there was an issue.

I think Sony is shooting themselves in the foot by witholding the demo from the public if they are so confident. I call it arrogance or fear, as this could potentially be the biggest game of the year and instead of working towards that, they release the demo to the public the day before the game is released....
I agree with the article whole heartedly, demos should be available to everyone at the same time.
