Proud to be a 40GB MGS4 LE owner (that I massively overpaid for) and looking for a PS2 on the cheap!

Wow, pretty impressive of Sony! They have about 1/3 of the sales over there, Wii has half and MS has a 1/6. I'm glad the Wii is getting some competition!!! D@mn Wii!
sixfab2005 is re-iterating my point in the past. Xbox 360 at its current price is really competing with both PS2 and PS3. Considering they had a failed original Xbox and literally no brand recognition to jump to second place with RROD issues is very impressive.
Sony is third, and if Sony will leap over MS and become second or not will not matter. MS has gotten brand recognition, and entrenched themselves in the market. In that respect, they already won as they are eating Sony's p...
If you loved Sigma, you should love NG2. Get the 360 for NG2. My personal pick as game of the year 2008!
I'm looking forward to this game, but so far all I have seen his quick time events. I don't want just cinematics, show us some real gameplay!
I don't know, my PS3 is rock solid when it comes to hardware quality. However, so far my PS3 has frozen on my numerous times and I have the 40GB 65nm version.
I use my PS3 considerably less than my 360 (1:5 ratio at least) and the PS3 has frozen on me more. I wish they would make the software more stable....

I agree with Monchichi025. Let's at least wait until the game is out. So far, not even a credible review is out mostly scores from official PS mags.
Odd why they would choose only to update the 360 version? Unfortunately, my brother has the PS3 version (since he only owns a PS3)....
Reading your report makes me cringe. My PS3 has frozen on me a number of times in the same manner you describe.
So far no flashing red lights yet....
I played this game last night with my brother co-op and it is nowhere near CoD. It is extremely generic and gets a little better towards the end due to a few cool level designs, but frankly I wouldn't pay more than $10 for it. Which is what I did, $10 brand new. We got two to play co-op.
I think I mostly enjoyed it because it was so bad.... Save your $20 towards a quality game like CoD or hopefully KZ2!
It is probably true what you are saying, but that doesn't really matter. This is about market share, and a game publisher/developer isn't going to give that much weight to slower sales the first years.
The bottom line is how large is the market for my game, clearly the 360 has a large concentration of hardcore gamers specifically in the US. Any game catering to the US market will do exceptionally well compared to PS3 i.e. shooters.

Kingme, I live in northern California and it took them 6 days from the day I shipped to I received the game. Shipped on Monday, get a game back on Saturday.
For me, that was nowhere near Netflix. I send out a movie on Monday, on Wednesday my next movie arrives most of the time. I guess everybody's experience is different, but I don't have any faith in gamefly at the moment.
This guys rant is basically about the lack of Wifi (and incorrect information).... If he thinks the Wii is better, then get a Wii. For me, my Wii is collecting dust still waiting for that awesome game to come.
Not really, the 60GB and 20GB was at one point $500 and came with 5 blu-ray movies. About 4-5 months later, they introduced the crippled 40Gb (which I own) with removed USB/Card reader ports, BC and reduced the hard drive sized 20GB and cut the cost $100. No blu-ray anymore due to them winning the war.
In terms of value, I would say the 60GB with full hardware BC at $500 + 5 blu-ray movies was the better deal.

Yeah, 6 million consoles in 3 months is pretty impressive, but it begs the question. What the heck was going on in the other 9 months? We already know about the supposed shortages in early 2008, but what about the remaining 6 months from April to September then....
Agent VX is making a reasonable point, yet he get so many disagrees from Sony fanboys. Sony hasn't proven to me that it will sell FPS games and if anything Resistance 2 sales proved the opposite.
I will be buying KillZone 2, but I'm not delusional and frankly it doesn't really matter. I own all three consoles....
