I thought it might be a different currency, but then I saw he said the 360 cost $220 less than the ps3. That just doesn't scale right as a 40 gig ps3 is 399 USD and a 360 pro is 349 USD, that's a 50 USD difference which doesn't equate to $220 difference of whatever currency they use in Australia. Unless of course ps3's cost more or 360's cost less in Australia.
Please oh Please, Nintendo and Konami, don't ruin Castlevania with gimmicky controls. Instead focus on making another Castlevania similar to Symphony of the Night, only bigger, longer, with more story and more weapons/accessories. I mean could you imagine what they could do on the current gen consoles for a 2-D game like Castlevania?
Anyone who doesn't like Halo must be a fanboy who gets the "A55es" owned online <end sarcasm>
I don't think that Halo 3 belongs anywhere near this list, I'm just saying it's very possible to not like Halo 3 without being a fanboy. I for one thought it was alright but nothing new or great compared to Halo 2.
I don't think single player games are doomed by any stretch of the imagination, I mean look at BioShock, Resident Evil, Mass Effect, etc...
However, I do think that good single player games are going to be less and less common with time, as developers can make more money in making online multiplayer games without the dedication and resources it takes to make a good single player game.
You're right on Shadows of the Empire, but I'll be darned if I didn't love to play the first level (Hoth battle) over and over and over again.
The question is, how stupid is the person who sold their Wii to Gamestop? I'm sure they only got back like 75% value as the absolute most. They could have sold it on eBay or craig's list and got the 250 themselves instead of like $180 worth of credit at gamestop.
At what time was he writing this? B/c last time I checked you can get a 40 Gb PS3 for $399 but the article says that it costs $699. I only point this out because he uses it as a point to show that the two are tied when if he were to use the current ps3 price it might favor the ps3 over the 360.
Let me start out by saying that I love JRPG's. Having said that, Blue Dragon might be one of the worst games I've ever played (of course this is my opinion). The entire time I played it felt like a chore. On top of that I felt like I needed to be about 6 years old to enjoy the story and characters they were trying to develop, argh. I got so po'd with that game. Luckily, for some reason the trade in value wasn't half bad and I used it to buy myself some used old games that I hadn't played...
I'm pretty sure that is word for word the Gamespot review.
You NEVER cross the beams!
I saw them do it like 3 times.
If they can make an Aliens game with the right atmosphere and gameplay, which from what I've read the developers have seemed to be doing, it will be AWESOME.
But you are right in that it isn't scary anymore. There is no frightful edge that comes with it, cuz you know you can just bust out any weapon with about unlimited ammo and just end whatever comes your way. I mean, does anyone remember the first RE, maybe it was just because I was younger, but I was legitimately scared playing it with the atmosphere it created (music, fear of death, etc...).
But on another note, half of the games on the list aren't even horror games so you can'...
The article just mentions Sony and Microsoft. Well news flash, every company spins their numbers to put their product in good light. Yes...that means Nintendo does it as well.

I think Castlevania: SOTN should be higher. God I coul play that game over and over and over and over again. Plus Alucard was such a bada$$.
If we are talking about speed runs. How about a little love for the crazy Japanese people that beat the different resident evil games at paces which boggle my mind. I mean...a little love for the Tofu speed run in RE 2 is all i'm saying.
You apparently have no experience with 10-16 year old girls. A lot of them are going through their "time" and can be hugely and overly emotional. So whenever this game is telling them they are fat they take it as that and it could lead to other problems such as anorexia and bulimia.
It wouldn't have been hard at all for Nintendo to include some disclaimer saying that BMI is not an accurate way to address a person's physical health, in a matter of fact I'm sure it does...
Hurry up Capcom...I want to play RE5 now.
What is so ridiculous about patent lawsuits? You realize the Patent System has a very important purpose in economics and technological advancement.
Or do you just think that all giant companies like Nintendo and Microsoft should be able to steal ideas from Joe Schmo and use them for themselves because they make more money.
Truth of the matter is, Nintendo probably new that their controller was infringing on the company's patent. They probably could have got away ...
Castlevania: SOTN is easily in my top 5 games of all time. I think Konami needs to put out another game similar to that instead of worrying about gimmicky controls. Pretty much I want more SOTN gameplay and structure.
Another point that the game creator made that actually makes a lot of sense to me is that it might be a bit tiring and redundant waving your hands around to attack enemies. In Castlevania you are seriously hacking or slashing or whipping every 5 seconds...do they...
