I mean not put a product on sale when it's ready. I think it's just pointless to sit on a product ready for the market.
UT was different from what I'm talking about b/c it's initial platform was the ps3 and they eventually made it for the xbox360 (at least that's what I understand from it, but being as I never paid much attention to UT3 since it's not my type of game I might not be right on this). RE5 was multi-platform from the jump, at no point was it only going to be on the ...
I can understand having timed exclusive if there are delays because the game is harder to develop for one system or if a game came out for another system and it did so well that they decided to make more money by releasing it for another console.
However, I think it is absolutely ridiculous and stupid to shelf a game that is ready to be released and was stated to be multiplatform from the get go for a couple months because someone is paying for timed exclusivity.
I...
Seriously, it is a very viable market and a great idea to better DVD upscalers to put out a picture in 1080p. The better the technology gets the more options people have with their old DVDs.
But I do have a problem when they say that it is as good as a rival's true HD which is recorded on the medium as native 1080p; That's just being silly. Anyone with with the slightest bit signal processing background can tell you that you can take a digital image and enhance it through image...
I loved Firefox and was wondering how they could top it. But, "Jean Claude Van DAMME" Firefox 3 is sleek, sexy, and fast as hell.
So I don't know about you, but am I there only one who would have rather seen some kind of cut scenes for whenever Drebin tells the stories of how each of the B&B's came to be. That would have be awesome. Maybe I'm the only one.
tell that to my brother's 50' 1080p Bravia with 120Hz refresh rate. Or my PSP which can do everything an iPod (and even iPhone if you use Skype) does but plays games as well. I could go on to the stuff that Apple doesn't even make that Sony does, but I'll stop there.
I loved lost planet for some reason, it was a blast. I always here people say "eh" about it, but I thought it was great. Well except for the end when it went all crazy Gundam Wing on us, but otherwise, I hope to see more in the future.
edit: this was supposed to go under kwicksandz post
It was kinda stupid, they say that the ps3 is the worst in sales by looking at the total number of consoles sold and saying the biggest gap is between 2nd (360) and 3rd (ps3). However, they make no mention that the ps3 was released about a year later, which I found funny when comparing total sales.
Yeah, I'm too old for pokemon too, but a MMO would be awesome. Of course it would only be awesome if it was pokemon from red/blue/yellow games and not the 1,000 more they've added since.
I don't know how many people have played or remember X-COM, but it had one of the most annoying enemies, the Chryssalid. Nothing was more annoying than building up one of your crews level to a respectable rank, only to get impregnated by eggs by the walking tank Chryssalid, and subsequently turn into walking zombies that killed your own people. So annoying.
bad breath.....ugh
For me it's gotta be the Medusa Heads from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Sure, it only takes one attack to kill them, but they are never ending and they have the annoying ability to float right under your attack or into the wall/floor where you can't attack them. And the orange Medusa heads turn you into stone momentarily, which is a beeyatch when you're in the clock tower and trying to climb up the stupid gears. God I hate those stupid Medusa heads.
But bundling it with a DaulShock3 instead of the Six Axis helps a lot too. I know a couple of people who aren't MGS fans but are buying this version b/c it is 80 gb and comes bundled with the DS3 and a game. Nothing more painful than buying a system and immediately having to go buy a controller for 60 bones b/c the one you have is outdated (yes it works but it's not the same).
Regardless, about 10 and a half more hours til I pop in my copy of MGS4 and kick some arse Snake style...
Starcraft is like the motherload of RTS. It's one of the best selling games ever, let alone just RTS. It has to be way more anticipated. Especially in Korea, hahaha.
I'm reading this article and he is complaining about them changing units that he has never played with. I'm sitting here thinking to myself, how do you know the change is bad or good or will disappoint if you've NEVER used the unit in the first place. My mind was boggled.
In the article he says its the first time since the poorly received Masters of Teras Kasi that we're privy to 1 on 1 lightsaber battles.
I only object b/c Masters of Teras Kasi was a super bada$$ game and it was in no way poorly received by me or any of my friends. Easily one of my favorite fighters ever.
How do they not include Patapon ($19.99)? Unless they weren't including hand held games, I don't know how it doesn't make the list.
I may be crazy...but didn't they have several TV spots for MGS4 during the MTV movie awards with a big trailer/TV spot at the end of the awards which was built up throughout the entire show.
Unless that doesn't count as advertising...
But I think Sniper Wolf was by far my all time favorite MGS boss.
I only hope they can make a sweet Aliens game to compliment the awesome original Alien and Aliens movies.
I'm really looking forward to see what they are gonna do with it.
