But I just had a few problems with what he decided to pick on. The first problem is when it talks about the size. It's about the same size as my 360, a little bit bigger, but not so much so that I would notice. The other one is that blu-rays are 30-40 bucks. In today's day and age I would hope everyone realizes that blu-rays can be had on Amazon for usually about 20 bucks for the newest ones and cheaper for older ones.
Other than that it hits some good ones, like I really do ...
I didn't play it for my PS3 when it originally came out (I was in college and poor), but I saw all the hype surrounding Resistance 2 and I'm the kind of person that can't pick up a game in the middle of the series so I borrowed it from my brother about a month ago. Needless to say I loved it and found it incredibly addicted and the story was very intriguing and well done.
It's a game that shouldn't be missed, that is my recommendation on the list.

sorry...had to clear my throat...
That's actually the best way to put it. The other two consoles of the ps2 generation were getting whooped and not turning much of a profit; meanwhile the ps2 was/still is continuing to sale.
They are kind of different situations. I'm sure the XBox and Gamecube would still be around (or stayed around longer) if they were selling at the rate the ps2 was when the company's next gen console was released.
Using either system for digital distribution is weak compared to just buying/renting a blu-ray or DVD version of the movie/show. If I wanted to not leave my house to watch a movie, I'll just pick something off of On-Demand.
No need to wait for the DL or deal with crappy quality.
Get out of my head! I was typing the same thing as your post was being made.
I don't think they need to move on to the psp2 yet, but an upgraded psp with a hard drive and a second analog stick would get me to turn in my current one for a newer version. I think the hard drive would be a good idea considering the way Sony is pimping the video service and its ability to go portable on the psp, those videos require memory. And when you have music and video along with game saves on your psp, the more space the better.
You got it backwards. Nerds run the world and can be seen as cool. Geeks on the other hand...
Motorstorm on PSP + Ad Hoc Multiplayer = Awesome
We can dream can't we?
I just recently played Resistance 1 for the first time (don't know why I didn't play it at launch, low cash probably), and I love it. I'm glad to see a PSP version coming out.
Only thing that worries me, I've never played a shooter on PSP, and I heard the control isn't so good without the second analog stick, which I guess I could understand. I hope the people at Sony Bend have a way to help get over the stigma/problem of no second analog stick b/c the game itself looks aweso...
I'm starting to agree with everyone that all 3 shows were kind of ho-hum. I'm curious what you think was so great about Microsoft's conference that it was so much more amazing than everyone else's?
Originally I was excited watching the Sony conference, mainly because of MAG and GOWIII, but then I realized that those games are probably about 1.5-2.5 years from coming out, then my excitement died down a lot.
He said they were trying to give storyline incentive to come back everyday. If it was trying to defend and gain land across the world, well that would be the definition of awesome. Like a massive try to take over the world war game.
Unless you are Final Fantasy nut, Microsoft didn't do anything that made me go..."WOW I WANNA GET A 360" either (even though I already have a 360). And even then, you can still get ff13 for both systems.
I'm just saying, the door opens both ways.
The little big planet presentation was genius. Hey look, this game allows you to do whatever you want, including your financial presentation and future plans at E3.
256 players...that's like an actual war. RIDICULOUS. Here's to hoping we see it sooner than later. This definitely takes some of the bite out of FF13 multi-plat.
SWEET. I couldn't tell, anyone who was watching the stream, were they playing as Parker (British chick from the Resistance)?
I honestly don't get it. FFXIII isn't a ps3 exclusive, it's still coming to the ps3, but it's not exclusive. Because of this one game, the PS3 is suddenly an "epic fail". This is what people call overreaction.
I'm sure I'll get lots of disagrees for this, but who cares. It's the truth.
I own both, leave me in peace.
If anything this only intensifies the number of stupid news contributions we're gonna get from both sides. In the next day I expect to see at least 50 contributions about how the ps3 is done or how the xbox360 is gonna take Resistance, Rachet and Clank, and Little Big Planet next (note, I'm just joking). In countering the ps3 fanboys will contribute stories about RROD, other xbox games becoming multiplatform, and editorials about miscrosoft gree...

after this announcement (and the other things we saw) how long do you think it's going to last?
PS3 sales are going to drop significantly, even in japan (especially in Japan)
I can see ps3 sales slowing in NA and EU b/c of this announcement, but you must be off your rocker to think that ps3 sales are going to drop significantly in Japan. The game is still multi platform and most Japanese own a ps3 while the 360 is almost non existent in the far east. Plus Jap...
except that whole 8 month or so gap when COD4 was the king. Seriously, how can people be making a big deal out of this. So COD4 and Halo switched places after COD4 was in first for a while. Whoopty friggen do, people don't need to come in and claim that this makes Halo a better game than COD4.
