So true. There have probably been more unexpected things that have happened this gen than any other that I have been a part of. Should make the next 5 years fun!!!

I haven't missed one since it made it's way to PS2..so I'm right there with ya. I had some odd issues with freezing too and not loading. Twice I had to delete the update data because of it. Never losing my progress...just those updates. Either way, it was STILL well worth it. I pre-ordered from Gamestop just to get those extra teams. (I haven't bought a game from there in over 2 years mind you because I am currently Amazon's bitch! LOL)

Yep...the guts to make one...and NOT make it completely SUCK! That's the real issue. Don't let some group of strangers that are "familiar" with the IP develop it. Give me at least one of the original devs, and great new engine and I'll be happy!!!

Agreed. It's hard to fault anyone for thinking that they can continue to dominate (see any repeat sports champion). However, just as in sports, when you are on top...the teams at the bottom are gunning for you in every way. Kudos to MS for bringing a competitor to the industry and forcing Sony to actually try...and try hard to maintain a presence in the industry. Above and beyond exclusives, Live has been the thing that keeps MS thriving (IMO). The ongoing excuse for not adopting PS3 is o...

Time for an upgrade!!! Oh...and I am still rocking with 2K11 as well!!!

I can't imagine what could be done with today's tech and a game like Freedom Fighters. This has to be in my top 5 of just plain FUN games of all time. I can't even count how many mindless hours I sank into this game...just to keep coming back for more. In fact, it remains as one of about 20 or so games that I have actually kept from my PS and PS2 days (being broke sucks!!!).

@hotskys...umm I am not trying to be a douche, but BF DOES do their beta for bug testing as well...as evidenced by the first patch already being released. Also, COD might save themselves some issues by opening their beta pool as we have seen by the issues on Black Ops release (and to a lesser extent on MW2) they could use it. All in all, the way of the industry is that betas are fast becoming tools for promotion, but I wouldn't say that DICE only goes that route.

Nope...only choices for the cover are MJ, Larry Bird, or Magic!

Agreed...and he SHOULD win one...or two. The problem with LeBron...err...Lechoad...whate ver (LOL) is that he was anointed as "King James" as a high school senior. He didn't have the experience of going to college and learning how to play the game and most of all become a leader in clutch situations. Therefore, he is learning on the fly. IMO, he is still a bit immature in aspects that create the characteristics of a leader and most of all a winner. Plus, they need to define the ...

Love the trailer and started thinking...it's 2 digs in one...the ending tagline AND the 99 Probs...as in MW3 is the bitch that is NOT a problem...hmmmm!?!? Either way, it was a great trailer. I don't have a problem with digs...as long as they don't get personal and they are creative. Keep it in commercials and marketing and not in PR speeches and blogs.

The reason to buy the new 2k12 is NOT the current teams. It's really the further inclusion of the classic teams and players. For long time basketball fans, this is a dream come true. Plus it's already been reported by VC that if and when the season starts, that the rosters will automatically update to include rookies. It's a win-win if you are a fan of the game and the sport.

@Cpt_kitten...wow we are quite presumptuous aren't we?
First, we rid society of all of the drug addicts...as if when they tried drugs they intended to become addicts. Is this just illicit drugs like cocaine (i.e. what most rich adults in the 80's were stuck on) or over-the-counter (on the rise in high schools all over America)?
Then, we can kill the "horrible" people??? Horrible to whom? What makes them so horrible?
See, it's not that I don'...

GameGuy...you hit the nail right on the head. It's exploitation and sensationalism for the sake of just that. There doesn't seem to be some epic, historical lesson or backdrop. Just an RTS about the trafficking of human beings. I personally don't find a single thing interesting about that. People might say..."they make movies about it..." Sure, but most of the movies about it have a...wait for it..compelling story.

I agree that people like that exist. However, I don't believe this character in this setting.
This particular portrayal is completely over the top and stereotypical. The issue is really that it is misplaced. Latisha sounds like a runaway slave from the 1800's south. Yet, she is supposed to be in a future Detroit!?!
I don't think that it is racist, as you said there are other characters that don't sound this way. I just think that they could have done better at ...

I would also agree and disagree. People are sensitive about race and race issues because there still are issues about race. You punch someone enough times in the are...there's bound to be a bruise. I am NOT saying that I agree with the article. I just disagree with your premise that "people who keep racism alive are the ones who try and convince everyone everything is racist". Racism is alive because of ignorance, stupidity, and to an extent because it is part of the tapestry of...

IMO, the problem with EA is that they often LIVE off of their brand name only while sporadically providing new content. They have this thing about selling features (parsing out the sport in chunks). One year it's defense, the next, the QB or point guard...whatever. Either way, they rarely give us the full spectrum of the sport. They really only own one space right now and that's hockey. Soccer is still in debate (PES vs. FIFA). A lot of people still believe that Madden is just borrowi...

I just wish that we could have the best of all worlds. I absolutely loved the passing, animations, and some presentation aspects from the 2K series. The run game of Madden (at least so far) seems pretty smooth and the play calling system is streamlined. Plus, I would love the Euphoria engine running under the hood like Backbreaker to get those physics based hits that no other game can quite compete with. THIS would be the best NFL game alive. Or, just give up the license and let Natural Motion...
